I donated to 3 Republicans during the Summer of 2024. Since then I have been getting 15 to 30 texts every day from other Republicans asking for donations. Ninety percent of those requests appear to be sent out by a web site labeled WinRed. It appears to me WinRed collects web site info of donors and broadcasts that info to many other web sites of Republican candidates looking for donations. Of course at the end of most texts it says to enter stop to opt-out. That really does nothing to stop texts from different Republicans asking for money tomorrow. I tried to send WinRed a text to block any further texts from them but apparent that can't be done. My alternative is to never donate to another Republican again.

Thank you very much and God bless you.
Don’t forget they also sat idly by last November while four Senate seats in Michigan, Wisconsin, Arizona, and Nevada were snatched away and between five to ten House seats were counted till the vote came out right for the Democrats. Lara Trump and company did a fine job at the Presidential level, but then went right back to the same non-action as when Lardbutt Maximus Ronna McDaniel was running things.
I get at least 15 to 20 harassing Texts every day as well. Usually, I do not even open them. One today was disguised as sending support for Judge Jeanine. Of course it wanted a donation so I did not send a verbal support. Same with Birthday greetings to Trump, etc..
Who is authorizing these which all want donations to Winred? Whoever it is must actually be against Republicans because they only make those of us who are truly conservative want to run away from them.
Guess you need a burner phone to donate. /s
Fixed it for ya.
Until they come up with a "do not market" option they get nothing from me on that platform.
For the most part, I don’t do texts, but I get a lot of e-mails along those lines. I have wondered if they are genuine, because the money gets collected by a third party.
Enemy
Revv says of itself -- "The donation platform that will help your campaign, nonprofit, or cause raise more money."
So it looks like it is in no way partisan leaning towards conservatives. It looks like ---
We're passionate about helping great causes raise more money!Searching for complaints looks like there indeed are "unhappy" clients. I checked our local Republican Party site, and they will happily accept a donation without going through WinRed.TheWinRed site looks as if all donations go to a candidate, but there is no immediate way to check this.
We're passionate about helping great causes raise more money!
Hope this helps.
WinRed is the apparatus you donated through when you donated to those campaigns.
If you don’t want to be on e-mail lists, don’t do things through the internet. Use the old fashioned US Mail.
It’s a constant annoyance. Apparently texting STOP is a signal that you are paying attention, so the number of these things actually increases. There seems to be no way to stop it at all, but I will never again donate to it. Not ever. Not for any candidate.
I call it losered
After the towel throw in of 2020 and the nrc rino support and then the primary fest against the known nominee for 2024 president, I am pretty much done with anything republican party affiliated
No soup for you mail it direct to who you want to have it but no more skimming for the murkowskis and mcshames of the country.
Hope our corrupt government run mail system is not rigging the mail still like the since 2020 ballot transport in time and distance.
WinRed keeps drowning me in spam, too. Maybe a necessary evil - I donated most recently to Winsome Sears, and to several Republican candidates before that last year. But I look at what Mike Johnson and John Thune are doing with their Congressional majorities - namely, nothing - and I have to wonder why it’s worth contributing to the GOP. Most of them are useless or worse than useless. Trump on the national level and DeSantis on the state level are the only ones doing anything.
I don’t donate to WinRed if I can help it. Especially in the past they (the RNC) have been useless. Not sure how they are now.
I try to find the candidate’s direct web site and donate through there.
I have either Blocked the number on my cell or sent STOP as a text to whatever number I don’t want to hear from, with success.
They can be relentless.
Yes, and the texts claim that Trump himself, who supposedly monitors the contribution list, is wondering why I haven’t contributed on any given day.
They do give a stop option, which I use, but a little later it starts back up.
the only safe way to donate is directly to the candidate via check ... find the candidate’s website and their campaign address and mail them a check there ...
and whatever you do, NEVER give out a phone number or an email address ... if give out either one of those, whomever gets those will immediately sell them to the rest, and phone calls, texts, and emails will NEVER stop!
the other advantage of a check is that the candidate receives every penny of the money ...
Fortunately, I have not given my text numbers to those jerks, but they did get my email addy, and I was getting a bazillion emails from others. Made me stop donating.
I rarely get such emails anymore. After trying the “unsubscribe” route with no success, I took to labeling such requests as “spam.”
Suggest you do the equivalent with the annoying texts.
> My alternative is to never donate to another Republican again.
This is what I did for exactly the reason you describe.
Republican Party doesn’t realize that WinRed is the biggest impediment to getting donations.
They are such a pain in the ass that once you donate you want them out of your life forever.
And we wonder why Republicans are always lagging Democrats in donations.

I agree with both of you. My last political donation was in 1999 and I was hit with snail mail, email, phone calls for the next 25 years.
Politicians have worn out their welcome. Harassment is not a good policy.
Just wait until they sell your email to:
dailygopnews.com
americahomeofthefree.com
populistpress.com
freedomfaction.net
wesupportfreedomusa.com
conservativescoop.news
or any of a dozen other pseudo-MAGA/GOP sites that just won’t quit no matter how many times you block or unsubscribe.
I use microsoft outlook - paid - and I still can’t get these losers to stop spamming me.
