Special Dispatches to the New-York Times.

WASHINGTON, Sunday, May 7 -- 10 P.M.

The correspondent of the Philadelphia Inquirer, writing from Raleigh under date of the 3d Inst., gives the following particulars of the final surrender of JOHNSTON's army:

RALEIGH, Wednesday, May 3.

When Gen. JOHNSTON signified his intention of accepting the modified decrees of surrender, hostilities ceased, this time without a doubt as to their finality. Preparations were immediately made to move northward the corps that have marched from Atlanta to the sea, and from the metropolis of Georgia to the capital of North Carolina.

The details of capitulation were left to be carried out by Maj.-Gen. SCHOFIELD. That officer at once prepared to carry into effect the disorganization of the last army of the rebellion. Maj.-Gen. HARTSUFF, Inspector-General of the Twenty-third Corps, accompanied by Majors LORD, WALCOTT, LETCHER and Capt. Lyons, set out for the front. These gentlemen found the bulk of JOHNSTON's army near Greensborough eighty miles from Raleigh. Camps extended along the railroad, above and below the town, forming a line fifteen miles in extent. To our surprise we were informed that twenty thousand men were encamped here. We had not expected to find so many, as desertions were so very frequent since SHERMAN's advent at Raleigh. This number includes a great many sick from commands other than JOHNSTON's.

The army of JOHNSTON was divided into three grand corps, commanded by Gens. HARDEE, STEWART and STEPHEN D. LEE. To the headquarters of these commanders proceeded Gen. HARTSUFF and his assistants, to carry out the terms of capitulation. The rebel Generals all received them with marked courtesy. One hundred and fifty pieces of artillery, with caissons complete, were surrendered by JOHNSTON, together with horses and harness.
