Trump’s momentum is fading, and there’s still work ahead to get America back to a constitutional path. Congress isn’t helping, but neither is his team.
As the West was seemingly spinning off its axis of common sense, it was the relief of a lifetime when Donald Trump prevailed in 2024. Suddenly, the world that had been turned on its head was going to be set right again. We were going to have an actual border again. Men weren’t going to be allowed to play in women’s sports. Freedom of speech was going to be a thing again. DEI was going to be fading in the rear-view mirror rather than a roadblock to merit and success.
On most things, the President has been rock solid. But, sadly, there are troubling circumstances nonetheless.
One is highlighted by Democrat Jamie Raskin’s warning to countries that work with the Trump administration:
If and when we come back to power, and we will, we are not going to look kindly upon people who facilitated, to use the word of the day, who facilitated authoritarianism in our country. That’s an assault on our Constitution and our people.
Raskin is explicitly threatening consequences for those countries that work with the Trump administration when Democrats return to power.
That promise showcases one of the fundamental problems with the Trump 47 administration: Executive Orders. The problem with EOs is that they are not laws and, therefore, are susceptible to reversal by the next guy who sits in the Oval Office. (One that should have been but never was reversed is JFK’s Executive Order 10988, which allowed federal employees to unionize.)

There needs to be an effort to primary RINOs. Even when Republicans have the majority, it still does not matter.

How many of Trump’s Executive Orders have been turned into laws by Congress? These EO’s will just be reversed by the next ‘RAT president resulting in all progress being lost. That is the point of the article.

There wasn’t even a marriage. We knew the RINOs would stab him in the back. They aren’t even careful about their corrupt, braindead grift.
Looking at the Rasmussen polls, Trump seems to be doing quite respectably with the voters (50 to 48 percent job approval rating). So why is his momentum fading?
if there is any truth to the article I guess it is that Trump has absolutely no support in the government system. He has the support of everyday folks like me but he has no help at all. zero. The old saying, “can one man make a difference?” comes to mind. He’s dancing as fast as he can. Who knows how things are going to turn out but yes, the next dem or rat president will overturn everything and EO all of Trump’s EO’s out the window. There is no Trump waiting in the wings. Plenty of Indian guys with weird hair.

Trump is working at warp speed.
I blame Congress, mainly Thune and Johnson, for dragging their feet and not codifying Trump’s EOs.
MTG has been calling Johnson out, said she can’t ever remember taking so many days off.
We have a Ryan/McConnell Congress all over again.
We have another “Do Nothing” Congress.
This part about executive orders is absolutely correct. For example, Congress can outlaw sanctuary city policies once and for all. Congress can stop California and other states from outlawing gasoline engines. Congress should outlaw the banning of fracking.
There’s a long list.
The ones who should be listening to Raskin and the democrats are the American people. The democrats are clear about their plans to bring disaster. But morons will put them back in power just the same.

I think the author is basically right. Trump is largely alone in many efforts.

Not even for a nanosecond should we ever ever underestimate Donald Trump.
He has a unique short term/long term vision which he applies to his every action.
Almost every one of Trump’s EOs were reversing previous EOs and policies set by former administrations. Vince acts like Trump is the only one to do this.
Reversing an EO that reversed former policy is not a reversal. Maybe reversion is a better word.
