It’s because Musk can do simple math. Countries like South Korea, Japan, Italy, etc. will lose 95% of their population in the next hundred years if child birth rates continue as they currently are... And I’m not exaggerating in the slightest. Many other countries are not much better off, too .
A modern, democratic nation (except for Israel) will eventually cease to exist.

In the 1960s Malthusian theories said that the world would reach 20 billion if the birth rates remained as they were in 1960.
Guess what, the birth rates dropped, even in poor countries: Bangladesh for example dropped from 6 kids per woman to below replacement level today.
The birth rates will even out by 2060 or 2080. People live much longer, In 1960, the global average life expectancy at birth was approximately 50.09 years. By 2023, it had increased to around 73.16 years.

Okay, but all those countries you listed ALREADY have mucho benefits by law for new mothers. It has not worked.
Kind of ironic don’t you think? Not too long ago the push was on for reducing the human population, over crowding, too much pollution, using too much resources, etc. Now the opposite? I guess we were a bit too successful. There is also the staggering number of abortions all over. From my perspective, and we don’t live in an area of the state that is affected by the invasion of illegals that much, but not too far away, the 10 million plus has made for a lot of congestion. I realize that where they came from lost population, but for the time being there are enough people here. I don’t think Elon Musk needs to worry...yet.
