Cult coffee chain Starbucks has sparked uproar among Gen Z workers after drastically changing their uniform.
In a video posted to X, Starbucks union workers in Seattle can be seen marching on management in response to the new dress code.
The clip was captioned, “Starbucks workers across the country are facing understaffing, inaccessible benefits, discrimination, and low wages.
“Instead of fixing these issues, Starbucks decided to introduce an unpopular, more conservative dress code.”
A barista wearing a bandana and a party hat can be seen addressing management, saying, “I don’t understand how [the dress code] is in good faith of letting us express ourselves.”
Another worker then says, “We’re just expected to lie down and accept it,” as union members clap and cheer.
Early last month, Starbucks confirmed they were updating its dress code for a “more consistent coffeehouse experience.”

There was a young manager who wore short dresses. I did not mind...
There was a bookstore I was in probably before 2010 as bookstores were closing everywhere and the fulltime became temp workers. As I checked out I notice the clerk had a stud on her tongue along with a nose piercing... yuck. Very distracting and unnerving.
People said the same thing about the hippies…now they’re the bedrock constituency of the Dem party lol.
How much less?
I was thinking about getting a Starbucks coffee, but I wanted to wait till they were well established. Maybe next year.
That’s the point. Children need guidance, not anarchy.
If they can do as they please then why have adults?
We’ve seen how these kids choose things, and they suck at it.
“I don’t understand how [the dress code] is in good faith of letting us express ourselves.”
“You’re not being paid to express yourself. You’re being paid to make and serve coffee the way we tell you to. If you can’t do that GTFO.”

That's the fattest unicorn I ever did see.
No wonder unicorns missed the boat when Noah's Ark sailed ...
Yes, that's what work and employers are for...to let the workers "express themselves." Why else would a company exist?
Wow, those fatsos need to express themselves at the gym!
Once I was in an airport at about 5:00 am, and Starbuck’s was the only coffee to be had. I drank it, but that’s my only experience ever with Starbuck’s. Even C-ration coffee powder is better.
Worked in offices from age of 17 forward.
Got to wear tennis shoes & jeans when I was asked to sort & file in a semblance of order a large truck of banker’s boxes of financial records when my company bought out another company. Made it clear I would NOT do the chore in heels on a ladder, etc.
Boss said OK.
Long after I left the company, I was still hearing: “ SHE (ME) DID a great job putting all those records in chronological order. GO BACK DOWN & READ HER MASTER LIST.
THE LEGACY OF PARTICIPATION TROPHIES
About 20 years ago, I was at a small company and a colleague hired a young “Tiffany” who sure knew how to dress. After a couple months, she got “the talk” to tone it down. All the guys were very disappointed that she got “the talk.” Things just weren’t the same after the Tiffany Dress Code was put in place.
There’s a “Bikini Coffee” drive-through kiosk a few miles down the road, but the curtains are always drawn. I like “The Human Bean” drive-through kiosk closer to home when I’m in the mood for a good coffee drink. So far I’ve resisted the temptation to try a “Bikini Coffee.”
This is the BS they learned from their High Schools. People who think like this are setting themselves up for failure in life.
You’re not going there for the “coffee” at the “Bikini Coffee” place.
What else would you go for?
