WASHINGTON, D.C. — Congressional Democrats sounded an alarm Friday, warning that cutting funding for state-sponsored propaganda programs would lead to fascism.
In a swift executive action, President Donald Trump ended government funding of both PBS and NPR over concerns of reporting bias and leftist propaganda, which Democrats say will undoubtedly cause fascist ideologies to spread unimpeded across the nation.
"In Normandy, brave men and men identifying as women invaded German-occupied France to preserve our way of life," said Senator Chuck Schumer in a passionate speech on Capitol Hill. "Now President Trump has carelessly thrown away everything they died for by ending the funding of propaganda programs, thus facilitating the return of the Nazi Party."
"This is classic fascism," he continued. "Only a Nazi would prevent the government from spreading false information as a means to manipulate the people it pretends to serve."
According to sources, Republicans strongly disagreed with Schumer's remarks, even going so far as to say he is "the one being a real fascist." But this claim is false, said fact-checkers.
"If I can't control the means of information so that people will believe the lies I tell them, America is lost," said official fact checker Benji Woolcrest, a registered Democrat. "What could be fascist about that?"
At publishing time, Capitol insiders said Democrats were concerned that eliminating state-sponsored media could set the dangerous precedent of people being told the truth and being able to form their own opinions.

Notice NPR doesn’t have a news/talk show because people could call up and challenge their narrative.
Democrats have essentially been saying for a long time that less government is fascism. That the only way for Democracy to thrive is to let government have as much power as it wants.
They need the freedom to tell a lie enough times until it becomes true.
The democrats are fascists with a massive hunger for power control and money their record over the last 50 years can’t be dismissed.
The last 10 years has been full speed ahead nothing is limited.
State Propaganda is the path that leads to Fascism. Not the propaganda itself, but the acts of the interests that are promoting the “kinder, gentler” form of Socialism.
Emotionally, socialism seems to promise the end to want, conflict and onerous responsibilities, but it has NEVER delivered on any of these vague objectives.
Anything a Democrat disagrees with at any given time is “Fascist”.
Anyone who identifies themself as an “anti-something”, will always be just as bad, if not worse than the thing they are “anti”.
On the serious side, POTUS setting up his ‘news’ page following defunding pbs & npr was not good optics (nor is the news page a good idea).
I’m seriously questioning how he is being advised by his staff.

They’re so used to redefining terms and rewriting history that they view them as fluid things to be shaped by their current agenda only. When Margaret Brennan of CBS claimed that free speech caused the holocaust, I’m sure it seemed like a perfectly valid argument to her, because the actual facts don’t matter—only how she wishes to spin them.
It boils down to, “The issue is never The Issue, The Issue is always The Revolution.”
