GET TO KNOW ROBERT
Robert Shwartzman makes his rookie debut in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES with PREMA Racing. Shwartzman raced for PREMA from 2018-2021 in other championships and has claimed several wins in FIA Formula 2. A 2019 FIA Formula 3 champion, he has also served as a test and reserve driver for Ferrari and Sauber (2022-24) and as a Formula E test driver for DS Penske. Off track, Shwartzman was born in Tel Aviv, Israel, grew up in Italy, and has a connection to St. Petersburg, Russia. A Star Wars fan, he boasts an impressive collection of lightsabers.

Oval-novice Shwartzman wows everyone with stellar Indy 500 qualifying performance.
Who had IndyCar Series rookie and complete oval novice Robert Shwartzman as the rockstar performer during Saturday’s qualifying session for the Indianapolis 500 ?
Even the Israel-born, Russia-bred driver had no expectation for his PREMA Racing team – a total non-factor in every one of its five introductory IndyCar races – to propel the No. 83 Chevy to the sixth-fastest qualifying effort and earn a ticket into Sunday’s Fast 12 session and a chance at pole position.
His teammate, three-time Indy starter Callum Ilott, qualified 23rd.
“Honestly, I was quite nervous before the run,” Shwartzman admitted. “I was like, ‘How is it gonna be feeling? It's quite cooler. We haven't driven in these conditions. Everything is new to me.’ But then I was like, ‘Listen, it's one chance. It's my first qualifying. I just have to go for it.’ And I just floored it. I went flat. The first two laps were really good. The car was hanging on, was really fast. And then from lap three, obviously, at some point, it started to have a bit of a deg on the rear, like the car started to move. "So the last two laps, honestly, was like on the edge, and I was trying to hold on to it. I'm really happy I managed to finish my qualifying run. I still know that I could have done even a faster lap time, speed wise, but yeah, obviously, for my first time, I didn't know how to react to these changes. Overall, I'm really happy how it was. Honestly, the emotions in the car, like, how fast it goes and how you're playing on the limit at 240mph, like, that's crazy.”
240- dang- that’s fast- in racing games- that track, you get about 4-6 laps of good grip, but after that the car starts sliding toward the wall more and m ore and you have to keep adjusting corner speed to keep out of the wall- fun track- the corners are pretty tricky- and definately stay off the white paint on inside corners- you will go for a spin lol
my mistake- just looked it up for f-1 cars- they vary in costs- some around $25,000 dome upwards of #$300,000, not sure where i got $1 mill figure from- I musta misheard what they were talking about

Re 232.790 MPH:
Years go, when I was a 19 ear old with mush for brains and a 390 cu in motor in my 1967 Fastback Mustang, I decided to see what it could do with the pedal to the floor.
On a stretch of open road in upstate Pennsylvania, I stomped the pedal to the floor, and took the speedometer all the way up to its limit… I think it was 120, or there about.
Now, things get real sporty with drum brakes, all around… And a car with a giant motor upfront, and almost no weight in the ass end gets real exciting real fast…
But for a few brief seconds, beyond being absolutely terrifying, it was positively exhilarating. Stopping however… That was a completely different story.

You should get one and then the next time You’re taking Your car in for a State Safety Inspection have it mounted on in place of the Factory Wheel and wait for the look on the Inspector’s face when they get in the car.
