What about the Pacific War? Doesn’t that count as the end of World War II.
I remember watching the landing, running outside to look up at the moon, running back inside to watch the TV.
It was a real moment.
The tsar lost. The Bolsheviks won.
So what? The Moon Landing was still the greatest technical achievement of the 20th Century and the fulfillment of a dream nearly as old as Civilization itself. Congress considered making it a holiday but for some reason declined.
May 8 was celebrated in 1945 as Victory in Europe Day. August 15 was Victory over Japan Day even though ceremonially the surrender was signed on Sept. 2. UK celebrates Aug 15. US Sept 2.
I thought Memorial Day and Veterans Day covered all the bases.
It was the greatest show on Earth.
I agree with you, this is goofy stuff.
The President is going nuts.
Your Momz will be celebrating with me.
We left you a cartoon of milk and a tv dinner in the fridge for you.😄
I guess veterans of the Korean war, Vietnam and the Iraq wars don’t mean squat to Trump.
Retard
Young are taught NO history. Renaming will help teach history. We honor veterans by learning the history of some if them. These two holidsys are largely irrelevant to the young, meaning they are not valued.
Two wars fought with brutal losses....teach the young. All wars are the same brutality up close. Teach it.
Armistice Day should be a day of mourning.
I celebrate it as Polish Independence Day.
I’m with ya.
I’ll worry when he declares that the official language is Swedish.
November 11th is there to honor ALL Vets, not just WWI.
I don’t need a Soviet style May 8th to respect those who won WWII.
Cut government spending. Cut my taxes. Get rid of the illegals.
He doesn’t need to spend time on the other stuff.
I thought August 15th was VP day. September 2nd is when it was signed on the Big MOI.
Obviously I meant VJ Day. Talk about a brain fart….
Japan asks "Am I a potted plant to you?" (Or even a couple of mushrooms?)
Was the Moon Landing fake news?
