An Old Wise Owl once said “One should never own a pet who can easily destroy you!”

Maybe that saying only matters if the pet in question has not yet been neutered or at very least declawed.

Oooooooo! I want dat kitteh!!!! Pretty fella!

Years ago, I had a friend who had several show cats. I helped her show them a few times. During rare breaks in running cats to one judge or another, I’d go to the area where the Maine Coons were to admire their beauty and their grand size.

I had a “mutt” cat who stood around 3 ft. tall and weighed 22 lbs. Sadly, I lost him to cancer last year.

I had a good sized calico, and he could talk.
But I got rid of him, everything out of his mouth was damned lie.

That requires a very very large catbox.

I can imagine the size and smell of the litter box.

On my third Main Coon now. My first Sylvester lived to 20, second was Moshka who lived to 19. Current one is Mocha only about 8 months and already about 12 lbs.

Wonderful and special breed. They act like dogs but are even sweeter. They love to be around family and alternate whose bed they will be on each night. BTW they continue to grow until they are four years old. Mocha will easily top twenty lbs.

I still miss my Sylvester.

I have two mixed Maine Coons... certainly not as large as Zeus,. They are very dog like in their behavior, give gentle giants vibes and live well with dogs.

My daughter had a cat that was part Maine Coon. Beautiful long fur, friendly and smart. He was a big cat, but not nearly as big as Zeus.
