An enraged Prince William reportedly plans to strip Meghan Markle and Prince Harry of their HRH titles once he inherits the British throne from King Charles III.
“Charles might be happy to put up with this, but William won’t,” a royal insider told the Daily Beast, reportedly referring to Markle’s use of her HRH title alongside her lifestyle products, including a pricey jam.
“He loathes and despises Harry and Meghan with every bone in his body, he believes they have betrayed everything the family stands for and the idea that they are using their royal status as a calling card will enrage him.”
The source claimed Markle is in violation of an agreement with the late Queen Elizabeth II in using the HRH title — which stands for “Her Royal Highness” — in promotion of her personal brand, As Ever.
Following a podcast interview on Monday, Markle signed a gift basket — containing “homemade strawberry sauce” — for host Jamie Kern Lima with the HRH title.
A note accompanying the gift basket read, “With the Compliments of HRH The Duchess of Sussex.” Both the note and basket were later seen on Kern Lima’s podcast.
A friend of Prince William’s insisted that in continuing to use the HRH title, Markle is exploiting King Charles’ weakness.
“Charles has completely lost control,” the insider said in part, adding that it’s “apparent” that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have “every intention of making his final years a misery.”

Actually, they can. Strip the title and sue her if she uses it. English law is clear, but she is also using it for business and financial gain. They could sue her right back into reruns. An American judge would stay her use of the title for years as the civil case runs through the court. She is already damaged goods, and only wannabe famous people bend the knee to her. Actual famous and powerful people want nothing to do with her and by default her pet Harry.

It’s a constitutional monarchy, a tradition they respect. Not all of Brits want to keep it but many do and in it’s way, it works for them. Understanding what they went through when they tried to abolish the monarchy will clarify how and why it was resumed.
Even though the monarch has no true power, they represent a continuity that exists, over and above changes of PM. ‘Continuity’?...there’s something to be said for that in the way it works and has sustained over time.

Which perplexes me because KCIII marches in lockstep with Deep State.
Makes me wonder if their Deep State doesn’t trust William to be as compliant.
If so, that could explain why two Deep States are conniving with the Harkles.
And, if William is on the side of the angels and is just biding his time, he’d better tread carefully. Deep States won’t have that.

It's easy to say that the monarch has no power, but wanting a ‘compliant’ king sort of admits that the title still holds SOME power. I think the monarch holds influence with foreign leaders and maybe more than the PM does (depending on the PM).
I mean, there is a world of difference between a Churchill and a Starmer. No one ever saw Churchill as a tool, but Starmer is ONLY a tool!

A Blair parliament removed the last vestige of monarchial power when it abolished the “reserved rights of the sovereign”. Elizabeth II was the last to use it I think back in the 1970s. She untangled some political messes that the parliaments of UK and I think Canada. Basically she forced new elections. It would have been a useful power for the sovereign to have now.
