At the same time, Casey DeSantis, long regarded as a political force in her own right, is encountering quiet but firm resistance as she lays the groundwork for a potential run to succeed her husband — a campaign that would pit her against President Donald Trump’s handpicked choice to lead the state, Rep. RINO legislators in Florida can't wait for DeSantis to term-out so they can get back on the Disney gravy train. This is true.
A “political force in her own right”? Who said that? She’s just the governor’s wife. She’s done nothing but be somebody’s not there.
When they say stuff people here want to believe, they are.
“DeSantis had it all in front of him and then he and his wife decided to run against Trump.”
I suspect what happened here is that Neocons/Democrats were so scared of Trump that they had to use DeSantis to try to draw some blood from Trump during the 2024 Primaries, when they likely preferred to use DeSantis in 2028.
So they consumed their best weapon for 2028 in 2024. That’s how important stopping Trump was to them.
Casey DeSantis shouldn’t be elected the anything of anywhere.
