Should I wear a mask?
I received this email this afternoon. Can helicopter spraying be far behind?

I heard that these mosquitoes tend to feed within a couple of feet of the ground, so wear long pants and use a DEET-containing insect repellent.
They showed up in the Tucson area at least 25 years ago, but I hardly ever see any.

Report “day biting mosquitos?”
I experienced morning biting mosqitos in Canada...and their bite was painful...and this was 25 years ago.

Nope, won’t happen. They will let the pests run wild before they spray. How long would the permits be held up before being denied in California.

...can spread diseases like dengue and Zika. Yes, but they have to bite something that has the disease. They don't produce it.
So, if the disease is not already there, there's nothing to spread.

There are trillions of mosquitoes easy of the Mississippi yet you would think everyone would be affected by the dengue and Zika diseases but that is not the case.
I have been in Southern California since 1988 in the San Fernando valley and I can count the number of mosquitoes I have seen on one hand.
