One of the ceasefire ‘sticking points’ per se’, is that immediately following the breakout of the conflict the government of President Zelenskyy changed many of their constitutional rules to include the legal elimination of opposition parties in the country, removal of religion or faith-based social influence that runs counter to the Ukrainian Nazi mindset, the cessation of elections in Ukraine, and other “emergency measures” intended to assist the stability of Zelenskyy’s government as they entered a war footing.
The results of the legal changes and constitutional framework, which included non-recognition of any lost territory, is now being leveraged by Zelenskyy in negotiations for a ceasefire. President Zelenskyy is now saying the ceasefire terms proposed, which include accepting regional losses of geography to Russia, are not constitutionally possible and he has no power to agree to them.

Dear Admin Mod,
I failed to include ‘SNIP’ at the very top of the body of the text to indicate what I posted was actually paragraphs 2 and 3 of the article. Would you like to delete my post and I will repeat it correctly?
Zelensky-the only card he has left is to launch a missile into the capital of Belarus. They’re owed a punch in the nose. Putin won’t enjoy it so much.
We should just cut them off and not look back.
Leave them to their miserable fate.
Sounds like killing your parents and then insisting on aid because you’re an orphan.
Must not be a difficult process to change their Constitution. Do you know what that included?
Drivel.
So President Trump is lying?
Thanks for posting this.
No. Trump is being misinformed by people who are, in fact, taking Russia's position.
Trump is in a very difficult position. In his first term, he had people familiar with foreign policy who lied to him and betrayed him. Now he has selected people he thinks are loyal to him, but part of his reason for thinking they are loyal is they say the opposite of what the first term people said.
I think Rubio pushes a little in the opposite direction. One of Trump's strengths is that he picks people with opposing views, listens to both sides, and then makes an informed decision. He doesn't seem to be doing that here.
“He doesn’t seem to be doing that here.”
More Trump hatred from the Uke nationalists. Luckily for Ukraine, Trump is a generous man and seems to have forgiven Zelensky for insulting him and campaigning for Harris.
As far as "forgiving" Zelensky, he doesn't really have much choice because he still needs Zelensky if he wants to negotiate peace and the Ukrainians have shown that they must be in a stronger position than Trump thought if they are willing to tell the US to kiss off if Trump's peace proposals cross too many red lines.
Stop lying. Your post was contemptuous. Zelensky and the rest of you Ukes hate Trump. There’s multiple posts from you and the other Ukes sneering at him.
I supported Trump in 2016 and 2024 and support him now as our only alternative to a corporate fascist state in blackface and drag.
But I don't believe in a cult of personality where any criticism of the Great Leader is heresy, even though I recognize that all the MSM criticisms are either outright lies or smears.
I wonder how many pro-Uke/Zelensky posters are actually Ukrainian, or paid.
“I wonder how many pro-Uke/Zelensky posters are actually Ukrainian, or paid.”
At this point, I’d say most of them. Oh, they’ll loudly claim to be Americans and patriots, but they give themselves away with the “whatever the cost” and “however long it takes” and their refusal to support Trump’s peace efforts. They were even cool with Zelensky helping Harris in the election. I guess that’s “whatever the cost” means. We get Harris for president and the war goes on.
I think most of them are. They may now be citizens of other countries such as ours, but their loyalties remain with Ukraine.
And like a lot of recent immigrants, they hate native-born Americans. One of them, the zotted Fresh Prince, came right out and said that on more than one occasion.
