Donald Trump: Vladimir, STOP!
mediaite ^ | April 24 | Donald J. Trump

Posted on 04/24/2025 7:30:15 AM PDT by RandFan

In a Thursday morning social media post, Trump wrote, “I am not happy with the Russian strikes on KYIV. Not necessary, and very bad timing. Vladimir, STOP! 5000 soldiers a week are dying. Lets get the Peace Deal DONE!”

Trump had pledged to end the Russian invasion of Ukraine within 24 hours of being elected, but he and his diplomatic team have thus far found it difficult to broker a peace agreement with Russia and Ukraine, going so far as to suggest they will give up any efforts recently.

Overthrowing a nation on Russia’s border, arming them to fight Russia, invading Russia, giving them missiles to strike Moscow?

Except that it is pure Russian propaganda that we overthrew the Ukrainian government. We armed them in response to a Russian invasion. It was Russia that invaded Ukraine, not Ukraine that invaded Russia. And the missiles were given to Ukraine only in response to Russia's attacks. No Russian attack and no arming and no missiles.

There can be no peace as long as Zelensky is there to subvert it. Putin has tried. He honored the energy ceasefire, Z broke it everyday. Putin honored the Easter ceasefire, Z broke it innumerable times, including retaking Russian held positions while the Russians stood idly by honoring the truce. Putin unilaterally withdrew from Kiev and other strategic areas as part of the Istanbul Peace Process (which would have given all contested territory but Crimea to the Ukes), Z reneged. Putin honored Minsk 1 and 2, Merkel has admitted they were nothing but ruses to allow the NATO buildup to attack Russia. The NATO controlled insurrectionists broke the Maidan agreement the day it was signed and overthrew the government.

Where do you get this BS? The only thing that Putin has tried is to conquer Ukraine. Russia did not agree to the energy ceasefire. Russia continued with multiple attacks during the so-called Easter ceasefire. Putin did not "unilaterally" withdraw from Kyiv, he was pushed out. There was not agreement at Istanbul. Russia did not honor the Minsk agreements. It did not withdraw its forces, it did not hand over the border to Ukraine, and it blocked the referendum that Ukraine was planning to conduct. Ukraine, on the other hand, did pass the law granting autonomy to Donetsk and Luhansk, a law whose implementation was only blocked by Russia's continual occupation. Merkel did not say that Minsk accords were a ruse to build up Ukraine, only that that was the result. Ukraine never attacked Russia nor was it planning to (such an attack would have been suicide). And finally, the Maidan agreement called for the return to the 2004 constitution and immediate new elections, provisions that Yanukovych failed to implement. The elections following his fleeing the country were thus actually in accordance with the agreement. But I do like you boldness in giving the Russian spin on the events.

Yeah…whatever Victoria. Perhaps you should have put Klitschko in after all?

Why aren’t you taking your arse over to fight for what you believe in? There is no greater cowardice than sending other people to fight for you!

Such rational and cogent responses. Carry on.

Thanks, I’ve seen plenty of “numbers”, at least those sound reasonable. I thought deaths would be closer given Russia’s artillery advantage in number of shells fired, but not a big deal.
I agree with your last paragraph. We should walk away. Let the fighters figure it out. They’ll end it sooner.

No one "overthrew a nation on Russia's border" - Putin attempted to do that in Feb 2022, but failed

As to "arming them" - that was AFTER Muscowy invaded in 2014 and later went for a headshot (and failed) in 2022
