Donald Trump berated Zelenskyy on April 23, after he said Ukraine would not legally recognize Russian control over Crimea. He said he will not accept ceding any territory, even though this is against the Minsk Agreement that was supposed to allow the Donbas to vote on separation, since they are Russians who have lived there for hundreds of years.

These people have a human right to separate from Ukraine, which hates Russians, and they were killing Russians on the street in Odessa during the 2014 Revolution, which prompted this entire separatist movement. Trump recently presented a proposal to end the ongoing Russia–Ukraine war.
Vice President JD Vance has indicated that the plan would freeze the fighting along the current territorial lines. Zelensky refuses to cede anything and would start immediately, wholesale discrimination and attacks on ethnic Russians in the entire region.
This entire region is laced with ethnic hatreds that extend back centuries and sometimes millennia, like Greeks vs Turks. When Yugoslavia broke up, it did so along ethnic lines. The Kosovo War was a bloodshed, and NATO got involved when there was no legal basis to do so. This is what should have been done with Ukraine.

Ukraine joined the Nazis and engaged in ethnic cleansing of Russians, Jews, Polish, and Hungarians. This has been part of the culture. Bandara was their leader and is considered to be a National Hero. He wanted to create Ukraine, which was never a country, by slaughtering all those who were of non-Ukrainian blood.
During the 2014 Revolution, they were displaying Bandera’s image everywhere. This was their time to reignite their ethnic cleansing, and only because they were killing Russians were they tolerated and their inhuman activity ignored by the West.

The CIA protected the Ukrainian Nazis because they hated Russians. Zelensky was a Neonazi pretending to be a Christian before becoming president like George Soros. The Ukrainian people I speak to want peace. They question if they are allowed to have peace without the permission of London and NATO, who want more bloodshed. Zelensky does NOT represent the Ukrainians.
They are sick and tired of being used as expendable pawns in the geopolitical chess game. Beware of mid-May. I fear that the EU wants war so badly as a distraction from the crumbling EU structure, so they push war with Russia. Be on guard for mid-May.

To expound and expand the conspiracy theory that I saw in another thread that this is all designed to accelerate the demise of ‘western civilization’, it is said here that z is taking marching orders from NATO and EU, which begs the question, why does the EU even want this war, and what is it supposed to lead to?
I rarely comment in the Ukraine war threads, but this sorta sounds like I’m taking sides with russia here. That’s not my intent. No one likes to take the meek road, but how is ukraine going to get back donbas and crimea without a major infusion of war capability?

Trump did it wrong. If he really wants to restore peace in Ukraine, he should do:
1) form temporary alliance with Russia
2) invade Ukraine with US and Russian forces
3) disarm Ukraine forces and dismantle entire Ukraine government and parliament and whatever
4) Russia recreates Ukraine government; US grabs whatever under ground
5) after 4) US and Russia withdraw troops but US mining companies stay as trip wire
6) if NATO invades Ukraine, the US-Russia alliance will be reinstated and confront NATO

Ukraine was described not too long ago as the most corrupt nation in Europe - if not the world. I have suspicions that Zelensky is profiting handsomely from the war. His demeanor switches to whatever he believes will bring in more money and supplies at the moment.

The reason this perpetuates is geographical: Ukraine is much less of a functional country without at least some of the Russian enclaves. Without Odessa, Sebastopol, and Mariupol, all they would have left is Kherson from which to export grain and bulk material (I looked, and I don’t see a container port there). Hence, this war is a matter of economic survival to them. Cooking up some kind of deal looks very problematic.

One of the problematic aspects of any deal with Russia might be that it would require Zelensky’s departure. I can’t imagine Putin agreeing to any deal that leaves him in power. JMHO

During a Peace discussion in the UAE, Zelensky flew into Dubai with his banking and finance ministers…he was NOT invited to the discussions…..strange people thought….not so strange, Dubai is a world banking center and reports state he established numerous bank accounts within the Dubai financial industry.
Zelensky has hidden his loot ( our tax money) so deep it will never be recovered.

Even more so, will Russia allow the Neocons to take Crimea without dropping nukes to protect it, or at least conventionally bombing the crap out of the now-disarmed Europe, since it’s their weapons being used on Russians? And then would Trump respond knowing it would result in the US being incinerated?

Both sides would be wise to give all the disputed territories the right to self determination in 2075, feeze temp borders for the next 50 years along current battle lines, and let any refugees with claims to being on either side go through migration and naturalization process starting in the 2030s.
But its these 2 countries that have to make the deal. We can be mediators. But we must not be meddlers.
