EXCLUSIVE Fox blacklists star guest for 'harassing' female staff after awkward incident at NYC studio

Comedian Tyler Fischer is persona-non-grata at Fox after being accused of harassing a young female employee at the network's New York studios earlier this year.

Fischer, 38, was a frequent guest on Gutfeld!, the network's widely popular late night show that pulls in about five million viewers nightly.

But after boldly asking out a young female staffer during a visit to the network's Manhattan HQ in January, his appearances have dried up.

Fischer says his only 'crime' was innocently asking the woman out for coffee.

He'd been asked to appear on Gutfeld's show on January 30, and was in the building early for a meeting when he encountered the young woman sitting at her desk.

Fischer, speaking to Daily Mail, described it as a 'flirty little interaction'.

'I introduced myself, I said "Hey, I'm Tyler... I need to get going to the show to film, but would you ever get coffee sometime"' he recalls himself saying.

Moments later, he was approached by security.

The female staffer complained that he'd harassed her and reported it.

If what he described is accurate, she grossly overrrected.

Many women do overreact today at a guy asking them out, or even talking to them. Same crap as women using the gym as their personal recording studio, wearing explicit workout “gear” and then if any guy looks at them 9r glajces their way, posting an instagram about being looked at at the gym by guys.

Weird colored hair. Piercings. Tattoos. Really wide open eyes. Dressed like a streetwalker. Asking you to buy them a drink.

Plenty more red flags.

One Monday morning, when I came into work, I stopped to say good morning to our receptionist.

She proceeded to tell me about how she had a busy weekend and how her neck was very sore.

I asked, “What were you doing?”

She got a shocked look on her face and spun in her chair to face her computer. Puzzled, I just went to my office.

Later that day I am called into the owner’s office to be told that I was having a sexual harassment complaint filed against me. I was clueless.

“It is about your conversation this morning with Becky.”

Still clueless.

“You accused her of...excessive sexual activity.”

It literally never occurred to me that “What were you doing?” was anything other than a legitimate curiosity into what had she done that weekend to cause her to injure her neck.

There was no way, officially, to fight the complaint. I was assumed guilty. I had to write a formal apology, which kept getting bounced back - HR had to approve it before it was sent - because I would not admit to harassing in writing.

They finally accepted an apology in which I, verbatim, related the exchange and apologized to her for making her feel uncomfortable.

This was 18 years ago. Total BS

I value working from home over working in an office. It's just easier to avoid interacting with people. Especially people who run around with a hair trigger to call HR. Thankfully, I haven't had to set foot on company premises since September 2017. I'm planning to retire soon, so perhaps I can finish with nothing more than shipping my laptop back to the office and signing off. My admin is retiring today with 35 years. She has been an outstanding co-worker and friend. Her exit means a replacement in her function.

Young women can’t decide whether they are sluts or dainty flowers.

Any video of the footage? The article says other employees overheard the conversation.

Dude sounds like a predator, forcing himself on this woman he doesn’t know. now he’s squealing , typical entertainment industry vampire.

When I was still working, my boss would say things like, “I like your necklace”... or “...That's a great color for you”. Was I supposed to run sniveling to HR?

I used to say, "That tight shirt really brings out your curves! Would you stand up for a second?", then I would whip out my cell phone like I was taking a picture.

They fired me, I'm not sure why. I was COMPLIMENTING her!

Young women these days seem to not be able to handle much of anythng. This is ridiculous. He was basically flirting with her. They don’t know what flirting means anymore. In my opinion.

well if he grabbed her phone he was completely out of line.

Silly, non incident. Grabbing a phone may have annoyed her, but she should have been able to handle it like an adult and not go running to security.

Sounds like some woke Karen who has not had a date in a year. When I was young and single, I always enjoyed it when a nice guy asked me out (I still do for that matter). This is called the “Dating Ritual.” The Karen is an idiot.

I had a woman at a utility company drive-up compliment my shirt when paying my bill a few months back...should I have bitched to the utility company? Perhaps taken them to small claims?

so I went out and bought some wedding rings

I've known several women who use this method of staving off creeps. Whether at work, or on a "girls night out."

If a man will talk with you about [whatever regular subject] while not trying to ask you out, you will get to know them. Then, if the friendship could be more, you can tell them why you are wearing that ring. The guys who are not understanding about your reasons, would not be anyone you would want to date anyway.

she may have been very young. Let security do its job.
and i still maintain grabbing her phone was out of line. Just because i don’t agree with you does not make it silly.
