And a question how were 300,000 people fed at Woodstock in 69? Especially with the marijuana munchies being so prevalent.
Yeah but surely it was worth it to listen to Bernie lecture them about the oligarchy
I’ve only been to one festival like this. It was the Heat Wave festival in 1980. Punk rock and new wave acts. I don’t recall the food to be honest but I guess it was passable. The show itself was excellent from my perspective. Happy memories. Ticket was $20 canuck bucks. Still have the stub.
As my Hungarian grandfather used to say, “If you don’t like the price of the tacos, bring your own damn tocos.”
Well, okay. He didn’t say tacos. He said gulyás (goulash). But it’s the same idea.
🇭🇺
That’s why most hippies were skinny. No bread for munchies.
Suffer suckers.
By today’s standards, those items aren’t outrageously priced at such an exclusive event. The problem seems to be the inexcusably poor quality.
These people have the same complaints every year, but keep coming back for more.
I’m surprised some independantly wealthy Generation Z(?) member has not tried to start their own version of Coachella, maybe 30 miles away from this one.
He would have affordable transportation available from the sleeping areas to the entertainment places. Refreshment at reasonable prices, selected and paid for in advance if you want to. Clean , gender specific (Male or Female) restrooms and shower stalls. Security guards always in low key circulation or on speed dial for emergencies. An Urgent Care Clinic nearby too.
Places to park your car and pay for a few days of storage.
Etc, etc. Someone is going to try it.
You mean Bernie did mention the ‘price gouging’ on food there?
You think Billy Joe Armstrong plays for free? Lol
Makes sense: A festival with demonic acts charges diabolical prices.
“The food was terrible! And such small portions!”
maybe they’d enjoy the bargain prices at Disneyland?
Suckers.
L
High prices for small food portions and drinks? Welcome to California!
Fools and their money.
Entitled Californians who dress like homeless slobs (photos at link) listening to crappy formulaic ‘music’ in an environment similar to modern day Syria with astronomically priced food and drink.
No thanks.
I'm guessing Charlotte Phillipp has a journalism degree from Harvard.
Why, that sounds like capitalism!
I thought Lefties hated capitalism?
The Masters’ food and drink is the same price as it was in the 50s. They should have gone to the Masters.
Location, location, location.
