Peeps are to Easter what Candy Corn is to Halloween. YuckPure sugar... SUGAR, CORN SYRUP, GELATIN, CONTAINS LESS THAN 0.5% OF THE FOLLOWING: YELLOW #5 (TARTRAZINE), POTASSIUM SORBATE (A PRESERVATIVE)

It’s like cotton candy. Whipped sugar.
I’m not a donut fan but I’d prefer a KK over a cake donut though.

Yup, Mrs PubliusMM buys these darn things like 6-10 packages at a time. Then she slices open the packaging and leaves them on the kitchen counter for a week or two so they can ‘ripen’, in her words. Some of them sit for weeks. I can honestly say, I’ve never seen a speck of mold...

For years, the Washington Post have held a contest where people create dioramas out of peeps. I think other institutions have contests, too.

Cadbury caramel filled eggs are awesome. I usually wait a few days after Easter to buy them at a discount.

My husband insists that the true Peep connoisseur lets them ‘age’ a little... Absolutely! Leave them out and they develop a nice crusty patina by the Fourth of July.

I just ate some a couple of weeks ago. Pure sugar. 😆
