This is an acoustic guitar version of the bluegrass song- “Dust in a baggie” by Billy Strings. He’s called Strings because he can play any stringed instrument. He’s awful talented.

I ain't slept in seven days, haven't ate in three Methamphetamine has got a damn good hold of me My tweaker friends have got me to the point of no return I just took the lighter to the bulb and watched it burn This life of sin (life of sin) has got me in (has got me in) Well it's got me back in prison once again I used my only phone call to contact my daddy I got twenty long years for some dust in a baggie Well if I would have listened to what Mom and Papa said I wouldn't be locked up in prison, troubled in the head But I took that little pop and sucked until my mind was spun I got twenty years to sit and think of what I've done This life of sin (life of sin) has got me in (has got me in) Well it's got me back in prison once again I used my only phone call to contact my daddy I got twenty long years for some dust in a baggie Well sometimes I sit and wonder where my little life went wrong These old jailhouse blues have got me singing this old song My life is a disaster, Lord, and I feel so ashamed In here where they call by a number, not a name
“Awful talented.”
Oxymoron of the day.
William Apostol also known as Billy Strings before his rise to fame. This was originally filmed on 9/16/2012 around 3am in front of a small group of friends at a house party. (Ionia MI sez here)Ain't Nothing to Me - Billy Strings | 3:46

I posted it in the first of the Musical Interlude topics, in 2022, but it was already a bit dated, and he’d become a big up-and-comer. He grew up in Michigan, so, I probably have a bit of a bias, but he’s great. It also serves as evidence that, while systematic practice will cause an improvement in skills, there are some people that are just better in the first place. :^)
I generally track down his new ones at least once a month, but this one is an old one that’s new to me:

I literally didn’t know that he existed until a couple days ago. I’ve been checking out his videos. He’s pretty amazing.
He does covers of old rock classics as well.

Billy fan here. As for ‘Dust in a Baggie’, he wrote that song (your message made it seem like he was playing a Bluegrass standard).
This kid is amazing. I’ve seen him live now quite a few times and I’m amazed and entertained every time. Humble and talented guy.
yes, my sister and I want to go see him live
Big Billy Strings fan. Seen the band a number of times. Many full length concerts on youtube.
