The cast of The Breakfast Club is back together — 40 years after that fateful detention day.
Molly Ringwald, Ally Sheedy, Judd Nelson, Anthony Michael Hall and Emilio Estevez reunited on April 12 during a panel at C2E2, a pop culture convention in Chicago, to reminisce with fans over John Hughes's 1985 coming-of-age film. The panel was moderated by Josh Horowitz.
"I feel very emotional and moved to have us all together," said Ringwald, who played the film's iconic high school "princess" Claire Standish.

‘ Lemme guess....every one of them has drug resistant syphilis.’
Like that ever stopped you from sleeping with Anthony Michael Hall.
Didn’t like it, but the 80’s had some fun movies and lots of fun music.
Who was he in vacation?
Hall always played a geek in the 80’s movies, but he grew up to be bigger and taller than the other 80’s teen actors.

Rusty. The Griswold son.
The son.
“Good talk, dad”
“I understand. Do you think Mom will buy it?”
Probably the most iconic movie of the 80’s
Absolutely nailed high school “personalities” of that time. I was in High School from 77-81 (8th grade)

I was in high school when that movie came out.
In this new era of streaming, we tend to forget how relevant commonly-shared media was back then. Literally everyone saw this movie, knew or at least recognized most of the lines, and referenced it almost daily in conversation.
It may not be one of the greatest movies of all time, but it was a shared experience for most of a generation of people and it did bind us together in a way at the time. Looking back, the only other movie of the time like that was probably “Fast Times at Ridgemont High”.
So, how did John Bender turn out after all these years? Was Mr. Vernon right?
