Firefox's newest release once again breaks browser screens for users who prefer tabs on bottom (as originally presented in legacy Netscape). However, now that the breaks are so frequent (the last one was this past November) most users know where to go to fix the problem. Info at the link directs them to a userChrome fix that again brings the Firefox internet universe into harmony.

I never heard of tabs on the bottom. I don’t think I would like that.
Not at the bottom of the screen, but below the menu, bookmark and search bars. All your controls are above not below the tabs.
Use DuckDuckGo.
firefox is essentially irrelevant as a browser now:
“As of March 2025, Mozilla Firefox holds a 2.57% market share across all platforms, with 0.53% coming from mobile devices, according to Backlinko.”
their management kept ignoring the desires of their users until there were no more users ... a lot like the Democrat Party ...
Chrome has captured 65.67% of desktop browsers and has a 66.6% worldwide market share across all browser platforms. I don't know if Chrome (by Google) has the flexibility of moving tabs to below the menu and navigation bars or the variable types of extensions Firefox has.

type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
(2) In the filter box, type or paste tabs and pause while the list is filtered
(3) [At end] Double-click browser.tabs.onTop to switch it from true to false to move the tabs below the toolbars.
Browser tabs on the bottom, boys in girls’ sports, cats and dogs living together...all signs of the End Times. Next thing you know they’ll tell us cars will be driving themselves...
That method was true a dozen years ago for Firefox 12. They eliminated that easy method to change tab positions when they updated their entire browser system (more than once) and now they are on version 137.
Loss of options is the trend in software. Note however, that the Gecko-based Floorp browser allows that as an option, as we;ll as enable multiple tab rows. I found you can run multiple installations of it (which you can with portable Firefox with a little editing). See https://freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/4227779/posts
