TOI Correspondent from London: A massive fire erupted at a food stall during the Baisakhi Nagar Kirtan procession in west London's Southall district on Sunday, injuring several people and forcing organisers to cancel the high-profile Sikh community event.
The blaze broke out at about 12.45 pm on South Road — the main route for the annual religious procession — when a canvas food stall caught fire, igniting several propane gas canisters inside. Videos from the scene showed towering flames, panicked worshippers fleeing, and volunteers moving gas cylinders away desperately to prevent further explosions. Seven individuals suffered burn injuries, according to private ambulance medics stationed at the site. While none of the injuries were life-threatening, five people were taken to hospital for further treatment.
"While the fire was limited to the stall, the presence of propane cylinders posed a significant public safety risk," East Acton Police said in a statement. "In consultation with event organisers, a decision was made to conclude the event due to the proximity of the cylinders to the route."

Southall’s Vaisakhi Nagar Kirtan cancelled after the Gas Cylinder Explosion
It’s a Sikh festival; of course it attracts Sikh people.
I wonder if the snackbar is OK?
Not Muslims
These are Indian Sikhs, not Muslims.
Do the Muslims get along really well with the Sikhs? Or do they perhaps wish them ill? Just wondering.
Worked with a Sikh maybe 10 years ago.(Finance) Super nice guy. He had no kind words for Muslims. He was polite about his distain, but left it quite clear.
These events are just meant to curry favor with the natives.
I think they ate each other. I knew a Sikh and he was very conservative and detested Muslims. He also packed a Glock.
Sikh people don’t believe that any one religion is the only correct path to spiritual Truth; they also have little interest in recruiting other people to their path.
I don’t think Muslims are quite so tolerant; though early Sikhs and Sufis got along well, and Muslims and Sikhs got on pretty well in India during the British Raj.
I don’t know about political differences that may have grown between them in different parts of the world since then.
LOL!
I wonder if the Glock will eventually overtake the blade as required dress.
I guess I will drop all subtlety. Three data points:
1) The Muslims are attempting — and largely succeeding — in taking over the UK. Their power is growing.
2) Muslims do not like any other religions. This includes the Sikhs. The Muslims do not like the Sikhs.
3) A high-profile Sikh community event just got suddenly cancelled in London because a food stall suddenly had a massive fire.
Does any of this actually prove that a Muslim Terrorist managed to set a Sikh food stall on fire, right next to a large collection of propane tanks? Certainly not. There is no proof that this is what actually happened.
But people who watch the UK should be suspicious.
I hadn’t thought of that, but I hope it was an accident.
No they do not get along...
Lol Who knows.
