Trump admin fires Navy (DEI) admiral at NATO targeted by conservative group

The Trump administration has sacked a senior NATO official who was recommended by a conservative research group to be fired as part of a broader effort to purge wokeness from the Pentagon.

Navy Vice Admiral Shoshana Chatfield, the only woman on NATO’s military committee, was dismissed from the alliance over the weekend without explanation, according to multiple reports. She is one of only a handful of female Navy three-star officers and was the first woman to lead the Naval War College, a job she held until 2023.

Chatfield reportedly got a call from Adm. Christopher Grady, the acting chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and was told the administration wanted to go in a different direction with the job, according to the Associated Press, citing officials. The officials said they believe the decision was made last week by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, but it was unclear whether he received any direction from President Donald Trump. Reuters was first to report on her termination.

In December, the American Accountability Foundation (AAF), a conservative research group, sent a letter to Hegseth with a list of 20 general officers or senior admirals whom it said were excessively focused on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) and other similar left-wing initiatives. AAF wrote that focusing on such policies is an impediment to national security and Chatfield was one of eight women who made the list.

Chatfield made the list due in part to a 2015 speech where she bemoaned that lawmakers in the House of Representatives at the time were 80% males, proclaiming that "our diversity is our strength." The group said she also quoted a slide from a presentation by the Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute highlighting "Investing in gender equality and women's empowerment can unlock human potential on a transformational scale."

Women don’t create. They occupy.

Now they stick an unqualified, ugly, corpulent woman at the head of an air carrier, a boardroom conference table to negotiate a deal as CEO.

Too many empty kitchens if you ask me.

"Its like the Howdy Doody show"

Holy Crap, is that REAL? Did those two think that video was a good idea? Based on that alone, she should have been canned eight years ago. People on Guam must have died of laughter.

Not surprising that both Darwinian law and biblical scripture both demonstrate that the patriarchy is the natural and right organization for successful human endeavors. The matriarchy succeeds only in the insect world. Feminism indeed erodes civilization.

Oh yeah. The Chinese must be quaking in their boots.

Our DoD must return to being FEARSOME. Firing the imaginary warrior princesses is a great place to start.

This picture should be followed by pictures of the defense ministers for Russia and China.

I can’t think of a single area in American life that was not only not improved, but that was not brought down greatly when women entered it in large numbers,

Joseph Daniel Unwin's findings from 1934 are starting to look ominous.

Yes.

Women are not only physically different, hard to deny.

They are also psychologically different. Their brains are wired differently. They fundamentally “think” differently than men.

Some chalk it up to them being more emotional and hormones. I do not know. But there is a difference for sure.

These differences, even if women try to pretend to be man-like and we live in a society that attempts to reverse the roles between the sexes (men need to have more feelings and be less toxic while women are in action hero roles), manifest themselves in the decisions they make and how they lead.

IMHO, they manage conflict differently, tend to be far more emotional and when it’s a case of reason vs. emotions, they tend to go for emotions. This might be a good thing, seeing how the nurturing aspect is required in child rearing.

Good. What took so long? They’ve had a little tiny baby purge in the pentagon when what we need is a MASSIVE purge of the entire military. We need to toss thousands of Leftist officers out on their asses immediately.

Did the leftist media get concerned when the Obama/Biden misadministration purged Conservative officers?

No offense, but do you think that post makes sense to people, you have to flesh it out a little.

I remember when people argued for female cops, the argument was that sure they were smaller, weaker, less commanding and less threatening, BUT they brought sensitivity to the job, a softening effect which could help diffuse situations and avoid some of the violence with suspects and in domestic situations.

What was interesting was to listen to all those feminine strengths and benefits for softening police work brought out and presented, and then say, “OK, so how do those arguments fit in with them filling up the Army and Marines?”

LOL, it was a test to you to see if you were aware of the source and thesis (very few are) and my intent not to be selectively misinterpreted. I'm working on a book about the guy who engineered our social meltdown currently in progress. There is no way he didn't know of Unwin's dissertation, as it had caused quite the stir at the beginnings of his tenure.

That's another test. FReepmail me if you are interested.

Well, I got curious and looked up the references.

From various sources found by a Google search:

Sex and Culture is a 1934 book by English social anthropologist J. D. Unwin concerning the correlation between a society's level of "cultural achievement" and its level of sexual restraint. The book concluded with the theory that as societies develop, they become more sexually liberal, accelerating the social entropy of the society, thereby diminishing its "creative" and "expansive" energy.

Unwin believed that the process of cultural deterioration was irreversible.

Unwin also stated that absolute monogamy required legal equality between men and women.

Joseph Daniel Unwin's findings were based on the study of 80 primitive tribes and six known civilizations. He concluded that there was a positive correlation between the cultural achievement of a people and the sexual restraint they observed. Unwin's study suggested that the loosening of sexual conventions and the lessening of monogamous relationships were the major factors behind the cultural decay of a society.

This does not seem like any great mystery or surprise, but it flagrantly contradicts the Progressive narrative of "How Things are Supposed to Be". So, of course it can be written off as "controversial".

If you’d made a 14-year investment in research and want some recognition with which to keep the message properly directed in order for it to be effective, would you just give it away? Just my list of references goes on for 35pp.
