Russian air strikes hit the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, on Sunday, killing one person and injuring three others, while the death toll from Friday’s devastating attack on Kryvyi Rih rose to 19, including nine children. The Kyiv victim was found near the epicentre of the strike in the Darnytskyi district, where fires broke out in multiple non-residential areas, causing severe damage to buildings and cars.
In a statement on social media, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky suggested the intensifying Russian attacks showed there is still insufficient international pressure on Moscow. He said Russia has launched more than 1,460 guided aerial bombs, nearly 670 attack drones and more than 30 missiles at Ukraine in the past week alone.

The children were killed in Zelensky’s home town, not Kyiv. And it wasn’t a military target. Putin had a temper tantrum over his collapsing oil prices and it will get uglier as the oil price reality sets in for him.
Mine too. I wondered whether they were using the structure it for military purposes, but found nothing. Whatever, if it was located in Ukraine and the Russians bombed it, the British tabloids would be all over it with “oh the huge manatee” type headlines.

They’ve survived decades of having the daylights bombed out of them, yet pop right back up and do their funky dance and go right back to their mischief. No way our little whack-a-mole bombing campaign is going to “annihilate” them.
