Chief Justice Roberts, Norm Eisen, and the appearance of impropriety
American Thinker ^ | 5 Apr, 2025 | Andrea Widburg

News broke over the last couple of days that one of Chief Justice John Roberts’s good buddies is Norm Eisen, one of the chief instigators of the plot to destroy Donald Trump through Deep State manipulation and lawfare. Under a long-standing federal rule of judicial conduct banning even the “appearance of impropriety,” Justice Roberts’s close relationship with Eisen means he should step down.

We all know who John Roberts is. He’s the squish who leapfrogged from having been an appellate court judge for only two years to suddenly being Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. Since then, he embedded Obamacare in America and has rather consistently sided with the Court’s activist justices on issues that, as a matter of constitutional law and Supreme Court precedent, deserved originalist outcomes.

Most egregiously, when Roberts presided over the first impeachment against Trump—which conservatives believe was to keep people from learning about Joe Biden’s corrupt dealings in Ukraine through his son Hunter—he ensured that Trump was denied basic due process. To that end, he denied Trump access to any of the proceedings in the House and to Democrat witnesses, and Trump was not allowed to bring his own witnesses. This was the first time in history that impeachment, a proceeding with roots in medieval England, was carried out without due process for the accused. Heck, even a drug dealer would have had more rights.

Not everyone, though, knows much about Norm Eisen, although they should. Eisen rose to prominence in 2007, when he campaigned for his fellow Harvard law classmate, Barack Obama. Obama rewarded Eisen (ironically) with a role in “ethics” and “government reform.” Also ironically, Eisen aggressively pushed for greater government transparency, the very thing that Elon Musk is now making happen and that Democrats are burning Teslas to stop.

The only question: Is Roberts acting voluntarily or is he being blackmailed?

I think he’s a true believer in the left agenda.

Either way, he’s totally compromised, and needs to be dealt with. The Republic cannot survive under current conditions.

Neither Roberts nor ACB will ever resign. Ethical guidelines mean nothing in the Swamp; they’re just words on paper.

Note that Amy Coney Barrett voted with the majority, for President Trump, and against Chief Justice Roberts in the important decision on April 4th.

Ironically, Norm Eisen was a player who instigated and coordinated the stalking of Conservative Supreme Court Justices.

In what universe does the Trump administration exist, in which Roberts smacks down these lower court justices, and enforces executive branch authority, after how he treated Trump during his first impeachment, where he denied the President any semblance of due process?

Roberts is toxic garbage. I can’t help wondering, if the left has something on Roberts, can’t someone on the right find what it is and force that SOB out of the SCOTUS?

Hopefully this topic will develop as a matter of broad and public debate. Could this be our ticket to ride and lawfully get rid of Justice Roberts in that Chief Justice capacity?
I don’t wish him harm in any way. I simply want a Chief Justice who truly believes in equality of justice under the law no matter what Party the Plaintiff belongs to!

Not much to go on.

Some people hate CJ Roberts because he doesn’t rule the way they want - all the time.

And AJ Barrett? She’s made it clear in several of her writings that she’s not a fan of the shadow docket and wants cases more fully briefed. The same same shadow docket that many posters including yours truly decry.

Forget all that leftwing mumbo jumbo. How about we just get one who believes in, and supports, the U.S. Constitution?

He is a really clever and foolish servant of the global satanist agenda. It’s a tax was the most genus quip sellout of your country that could only be accomplished by a soulless demon.

Ironically, Norm Eisen was a player who instigated and coordinated the stalking of Conservative Supreme Court Justices.

Upon the thesis Barrett is reticent to rule on emergency cases, one would presume it would be out of fear of making a rash decision. Hence, if she comes to understand that Roberts is cool with Eisen setting up stalkers to harass her, it might swing her toward more such "rash" decisions similarly out of fear. Hence, it might profit the conservatives to pull a similar tack as Kagen just did.

I think he’s a true believer in the cause of the left. He was a closet homo who didn’t marry until later in life and never had kids. He bought a couple from Ireland. He did it a large amount of pro bono work in the Colorado gay marriage case that unleashed gay marriage on the nation. He’s an East Coast liberal thoroughly entangled in the swamp. He’s not blackmailed, that’s who he is.
