“This surprising find hints that the universe could be filled with hidden, under-the-radar black holes”

As if potholes weren’t bad enough.

So, there are skinny & fit black holes in addition to the glutinous fat & flabby black holes?

“Dozing and overgrown” Sounds like a teenager. 18 or 19 years old, more interested in gaming, bonging and blogging, than looking for a job.

There are a growing different models of the early universe emerging, largely due to the inconsistencies in the observed data from the James Webb Space Telescope and the Standard Model. One of them might be correct, or maybe none of them. But the Standard Model is starting to look less and less like the correct one.

The ‘story’ makes no sense. If there is matter close enough to get pulled into the black hole then it is ‘feeding’ - and if there isn’t any matter close enough to get pulled into the black hole, then it isn’t ‘feeding’. Claiming it’s ‘dormant’ as if it has a choice, the way this story is written, is silly. Or am I missing something?

Having worked at the world’s largest observatory (Kecks) for ten years, I find articles like this insulting.
All we are looking at is ancient history!
All we are doing is looking at things that most likely don’t exist any more.
I like looking at the stars at night, but I know that the closest starlight took 4 years to get to my eyes.

Looks like it ate a bad burrito, followed by tainted oysters.
