Stars Kevin Bacon as a bounty hunter who gets his throat cut by one of the bad guys. The devil sends him back to hunt escaped demons. Blood, demons, shotguns, beartraps, humor. ½ hour episodes, so if you don't like it not much time is wasted. Opens with "Spirit in the Sky" by Norman Greenbaum playing. Other good music so far.
*lots of bad language*

I’m planning on watching the first episode tonight. I like Kevin Bacon.
You have to pay extra to rid of the ads. The payments come out separately on a monthly basis, but you have to sign up for ad-free.
Stir of Echoes (1999) was good.
if anyone has HBO Max ( I am still on the black friday deal) The Pitt is getting good reviews. Similiar to ER but they are getting sued and said it is not a ER sequel.
I'm really enjoying The Pitt. I was a big fan of ER, at least the first 4-5 seasons or so. I love the way it's paced where each episode is a single hour of a 15 hour shift (and basically the worst single shift in emergency room history). It moves so fast I think I binged the first four episodes without blinking!
I do roll my eyes at the occasional wokeness (to be expected. All the episodes were written and filmed before the Great Vibe Shift) but even ER had it's share of lefty wokeism.
Just for fun, I went back to watch the series premier of ER (also now on Max) just to see how much has changed over the past 30 years and, my God, Noah Wylie was a kid! I had forgotten that Dr. Carter was a student resident in the beginning of ER.
Saw the previews last night. Had no idea it existed. It's now on my list.
My wife and I have been on Prime when it was only called Amazon. There is a plethora of films that don't have commercials, but many studios or networks have contracted with Prime to get a cut of the gate so to speak on the front end. Prime seems to rotate some of their movies between no commercials as we signed up for, then added commercials to watch, with a third category of pay-per-view.
I just ignore the last two categories. I'm slightly chagrined to reveal that I have about 420 movies on my watchlist. But many of those I have already seen, some more than once and someday might go back and watch them.
Some of the content we have greatly enjoyed is the Amazon Originals movies.
“ What the hell is with the commercials??”
Those commercials on Prime will drive you crazy. Get familiar with your mute button.
“I thought joining I wouldn’t get commercials but they do.”
amazon is desperate for revenue and added ads some time ago, but there offer an ad-free version of prime for a couple of extra bucks a month now ...
If your into crime drama,I highly recommend Bosch. Best show ever. LAPD homicide detective.
5 season, then 3 more seasons after he retired from LAPD.
Awesome series. I recommend binge watching it.
We’ve watched every episode but its so intense, that the 7 day wait is brutal. Only 1 episode to go.
Awesome, thanks I’ll check it out
I have had Prime for years now and I haven't seen the first ad. I have noticed that some of the stuff can come with ads but they don't appear to be Prime provided but 3rd party? Those 3rd parties can be ad free for a fee. The way my ROKU displays the menu, there is a grouping called 'Free with ads' or some such. All of the Prime groupings are ad free. Amazon Prime may be different for new subscribers?
“plot of RIPD”
My thought also.
Reaper! I loved that show.
Darned if I didn’t have to go back last night after reading your post and watch an episode. It’s still fun
Unfortunately, it appears that our culture is this crap
