Canada Embraces European Suicide
American Thinker ^ | 31 Mar, 2025 | J.B. Shurk

Installed Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney will likely retain his office following the country’s snap election on April 28. His Liberal Party is riding a wave of anti-Trump, anti-American mania ignited by the U.S. president’s imposition of tariffs and emasculation of boy-band-backup-singer Justin Trudeau. Given that Carney is a globalist central banker who will use the “global warming” hoax to further diminish Canadians’ national sovereignty and private property rights, it is dreadfully ironic that the Liberal Party is benefiting from recent patriotic fervor up north.

As a patriotic American who despises the federal government’s encroachment on the individual states’ sovereignties and Americans’ individual rights here at home, I can certainly appreciate Canadians’ love for country and regional pride. I just think Mark Carney and the Liberal Party are incapable of providing true patriotic stewardship when they openly push for the abolition of national borders and the advancement of global government.

Such is politics. Populations often get caught up in the emotions of the moment and make poor choices that echo discordantly for decades. After 9/11, I wanted payback at any cost. Had I been wise enough to realize that those costs would include the Patriot Act, the abrogation of the Fourth Amendment, airport pat-downs, Homeland Security censorship, twenty years of war, chaos in the Middle East, mass migration into the United States, trillions in debt, thousands of servicemembers killed or wounded in action, and two generations of veterans struggling with PTSD, perhaps I would have better appreciated the price of vengeance.

Sometimes what we think we want isn’t what we want at all. I have a feeling a fair number of Canadians will relearn that lesson once Carney is empowered to claim a globalist mandate that only weakens Canada more severely.

Why will so many Canadian voters get this election

I have had conversations with Canadians from all walks of life (many of whom are reasonable, rational, knowledgeable people) who know little to nothing about how much the United States subsidizes Canada’s economy. They are under the illusion that they are members of an open, free market system.

You can’t tell liberals differently. They have to experience themselves before they will believe you.

We cannot continue to live under the economic abuses enabled by their delusions.

It is their ignorance of the actions of their government that continues to cause further pain and erosion of each country’s citizenry.

They are literally forcing America to treat them as a thief if not an actual economic enemy.

It’s not suicide.

It’s genocide.

That wasn't vengeance. That was attempts at nation-building and prevention. Obliterating Mecca would have been vengeance. Quick, clean, and to the point, and probably effective. Muslims tend to side with whoever is winning. Wipe out Mecca and they realize: Allah is not all-powerful.

Thank Kissinger for believing that Muslims can be rebuilt like the Japanese.

---- "Populations often get caught up in the emotions of the moment and make poor choices that echo discordantly for decades."

This is a darn good reason to be wary and ever aware of how "nudging" and "messaging" and similar tricks from the media are not "reporting." Stay skeptical. Read between the lines. Don't run with each stampede in the direction of those herding each stampede. And "follow the money" to where the corruption and decay operates.

As I’ve said, I was all for a punitive expedition against Afghanistan. Nation building was a fools errand, there was no raw material with which to build a damned thing.

Given Canada’s slide into Fascism it’s difficult to see how the US will not be forced to do something about it - be it under Trump, or anyone who succeeds Trump. Otherwise, the US will no longer be a world power.

The most troubling part of Canada’s shift to the hard Left isn’t just the policies—it’s the ideology behind them.

Canadians—and Europeans—don’t get it.

They’re playing with fire. Americans can see that fire in what DOGE is uncovering in our own government—and in how hard that same government is fighting to keep DOGE from pulling back the curtain.

Leftism at its core is about the theft of power by centralized bureaucracies from individuals and local communities. But the bureaucracy doesn’t behave like a human being—or even a collective of humans. It’s not interested in its publicly-stated duties and goals.

It’s more like a greedy beast—a sprawling, ambitious, and clever behemoth that grows by taking from the humans it purports to serve: their freedom of speech, enterprise, mobility, self-determination, and wealth.

When citizens cheer for more government “solutions,” they don’t realize they’re feeding an intelligent machine that cares only about two things: defending itself and increasing its power.

Globalism just scales this problem up. It replaces local accountability with distant bureaucrats and cloaks top-down control in the language of cooperation and crisis management.

Canadians may think they’re voting for compassion or progress, but what they’re really getting is a future governed by a narcissistic monster that grows stronger each time it takes something away.

“Old Europe remains stuck in the past and will only drag Canada down with it. There is a reason why the virus of Marxist socialism is so virulent on the other side of the Atlantic: despite its populist presentation, socialism is thoroughly aristocratic in nature. It is a system that elevates a small number of people to positions of power who then make decisions for everyone else. It rejects vigorous competition, democratic debate, self-reliance, privacy, and individual freedom. It creates privileged institutions that protect privileged classes of “elites” who expect to govern in perpetuity.”

Well put. European elites are trying to return to feudalism but without the european population to do it. What they are getting is Muslim conquest, something their elitist minds will not grasp until their heads roll away from their bodies.

This is why I have no pity on them. If they INSIST on voting for their own destruction just to piss off the US, then F them.

I have pity for the Canadians that don’t agree with leftism. Just like I have pity for Jim Robinson living in California. I don’t want to paint them all with the same brush.

True.

To me, it seems more and more that we are witnessing the gates of H.ll opening up again.

Lord have mercy,
Christ have mercy,
Lord have mercy on us all!

Amen.✝️🙏🏻
