My headline above paraphrases somewhat the insane position of Congressman Dan Goldman (D-New York), but so slightly that I think I can be forgiven. In a tweet posted earlier this week, Goldman’s reaction to a new federal task force aimed at investigating and catching the terrorists who have been firebombing Tesla dealerships and vandalizing Tesla cars was as follows:
This is the political weaponization of the DOJ. Trump uses his official authority to defend his benefactor Elon Musk. The FBI then creates a task force to use our law enforcement to “crack down” on adversaries of Musk’s.

In other words, any effort to stop leftist rioters, looters, and vandals is misuse of government power, and is thus further justification for more leftist rioting, looting, and vandalism. According to Goldman, these thugs have the right to do anything they want to hurt Elon Musk, his businesses, his products, and his customers, simply because Musk no longer supports the Democratic Party and is trying to eliminate the fraud and corruption that has been impregnated within the entire federal government by that very party.
This is the Democratic Party today, a supporter of violence, censorship, and brutality, all in the name of gaining power. Nor is Goldman an exception at the top. His party’s base is all in on this violence. If anything, it is unhappy that the party leadership has not been more aggressive in resisting Trump. For example, a new poll shows that Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-New York) — dyed-in-the-wool communist and supporter of Hamas — now “best reflects the core values of the Democratic Party.” And those polled also ranked almost as highly the rest of the party’s most radical leaders, including Kamala Harris, Bernie Sanders, Hakeem Jeffries, and Jasmine Crockett. The last two have been very open about advocating violence against Republicans and their supporters. Apparently rank-in-file Democrats agree.
Goldman is merely tapping into that base, saying what they want to hear in order to gain their support.
Lawyer and political analyst Jonathan Turley, in posting his own disgust at Goldman’s tweet, maybe said it best:
Goldman’s latest controversy captures how Democrats have now entirely cut the cords of decency and moderation that once tethered their party to the mainstream of our society.
Hey, but who cares? Trump and Musk must be “literally Hitler!”, and thus any means necessary to destroy them and their allies is completely justified. Go Democrats! Show us your tolerance by assaulting innocent bystanders! ...SNIP

Back when the BLM was being “mostly peaceful” my county sheriff put out a statement that if any of these marchers try to commit arson he expects that an armed citizen will put an end to their illustrious career.
My leftist church minister preaches that setting fires is an appropriate form of “backburning for social justice”, no different than other forms of social activism or freedom of expression.

No, you have to sell your Tesla because your political compatriots on the left are incapable of controlling their anger over the fact that they lost an election.
It used to be said one of the best sources for new conservatives are liberals who have just gotten mugged. This attack on Teslas may turn out to be a very good thing.
Many states — including New York — allow the use of deadly force to stop a person from committing arson.

It began at the very foundation of the Democrat party and reached its first violence in May of 1838 with Marti Van Buren and the Cherokee Indian resettlement known as the Trail of tears.
Yesterday I heard some Democrat or another (maybe Jeffries) say that their party should push those such as AOC, Jasmine Crocket, and Rep Dan Goldman, to the front of their party. He insisted that is what Democrat voters want.
Any advice to moderate their views has fallen on deaf ears when it comes to the party’s leadership. Any pretense by some to do so is a ruse.
The Democrat party’s support continues to shrink but officially they are moving even further left as that is what they insist will bring disillusioned Democrat voters back into the fold. I fully endorse that stance.
You need to read the riot act to your fake “minister” and immediately find another church.
