It does. She’s lying.
Just looking for a settlement.
Huh?
Not here in middle TN.
Meats are not weighted at checkout. Maybe certain produce items are.
Ha! My SIL lives in Ponte Vedra (tony S. JAX suburb), and she has a Publix across the street from a Publix.
And I, too, am a huge proponent of Publix fried chicken, good stuff. With the Gouda mac and cheese for a side.
Publix is on the pricey side, but they are a very good grocery with very good service.
We go to Publix for detergent, cheesecake, and frozen knishes, which the hubby loves and they’re hard to find here in NC. Other items are better priced in other stores.
At my SIL’s in Ponte Vedra, I was told the Publix across the street from the Publix was a legacy of Publix trying a Whole Foods-like concept store chain called GreenWise. The concept was dropped, and in some locations they just rebranded as Publix and stayed open. She said the former GreenWise store has more hot prepared foods.
Hmmm. Will have to try that chicken!
You see an item for $3.50 so you take it off the shelf.
When you get to the POS, the price has been changed to $4.00, but you caught it and mentioned to the cashier that it was $3.50 when you pulled it off the shelf.
So, the cashier sends a stock boy to do a price check and confirms it is $4.00, because the price tag is electronic and can be changed remotely.
Not only is Publix a closely held corporation still dominated by its founding family, but it is politically powerful and has a solid grip on the grocery market in Florida due to first rate management. GreenWise and similar innovations that falter get shut down or modified.
Someone didn’t change the shelf price tag.
Not a crime.
Has never happened to me anywhere.
We have some very nice walmarts locally. Clean stores. Well tended product displays. Polite shoppers and courteous staff.
Same for Macdonalds.
How the stores present totally depends on the demographics who shop there.
There is also an immigrant hellhole Walmart a few towns over.
True, but here at FR, we are committed to DENIGRATING Walmart and McDonald’s (btw, don’t read my tagline).
I read the articles.
I don’t read taglines.
FR needs at least one oppositional defiant child here.
The tags ate electronics. They can be changed 1000 miles away.
Not ours. Plastic.
I heard that the city of SanDiego is now demanding by law that if a special price is offered for digital devices,it must also be available as a paper coupon.
