Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders has officially signed Senate Bill 189 into law, granting approval for the sale and purchase of ivermectin for human use without a prescription.

The new legislation, signed into law on Tuesday, allows ivermectin suitable for human consumption to be sold over-the-counter in Arkansas, making it accessible to individuals without the need for a prescription or consultation with a healthcare professional.

Likely not the miracle cure-all some tout it to be, but medical establishment’s averse response to it is suspicious. Numerous countries make it readily available OTC, why shouldn’t we?

So if I order it from Arkansas to be shipped to Tennessee, does that possibly cause a problem in Tennessee?

We bought it a local farm store.

---- "Numerous countries make it readily available OTC, why shouldn't we?"

We should. While not a "cure-all," it seems efficacious in many ways. My doctor prescribed it for us in the middle of 2020 for prophylactic use. One of the few to do so. Its properties seem "annoying" to pharmaceutical companies....

I still have a couple tubes of the Horse Paste variety. Many of my friends purchased it in pill form from sources in India and swore by it. I was more comfortable using ivermectin from a source that I was familiar with.

I used it, my wife didn’t, we both recovered from Covid at the same rate. I took only 100 micrograms (mcg) per kilogram (kg) of body weight which was half what was recommended by most medical sources. I am sure that it did what it was supposed to in some people and provided a strong placebo effect in others.

I would not hesitate to take it again in larger doses since the smaller dose didn’t seem to help much, but also caused no apparent problems. Where we are at, Doctors were at risk of losing their license if they gave any advice or prescriptions that varied from the government approved narrative. So, I do not know of any doctor who prescribed ivermectin in our state despite almost no known problems when taken at or below the recommended dosage.

My sister and I take 2 ivermectin capsules per week for prophylactic reasons. Also, there have been studies showing that it it helpful regarding breast cancer — which I’ve had and technically could have again. So it’s doing double duty (I hope) for me.

We get ours from a compounding pharmacy the next town over.

Almost every drug should be OTC.

We do not need the government “protecting us” from Freedom. Government is not our parent.

I don’t know if it’s a miracle cure, however I’ve read many credible reports of it being very effective against inflammation, and I’ve ready other credible reports of inflammation being associated with increased incidents of cancer.

Been taking the pills (from India) for almost 3 years every other day (12mg).
3 weeks after I started, I was sleeping through the night, solid 6-8 hours.
Also, inflammation / joint pain gone.
No side effects whatsoever.
YRRMV.
Would be really nice if every state sold it OTC....

Ivermectin was being used to treat several cancers prior to 2020 and number of types of cancers treated since then has increased.

The NIH classifies Ivermectin as a anti-cancer drug.

Not taking Fenbendazole.

The label on the ivermectin says 27mg. Pharmacist compounds it based on weight.
