Loud jets flying by. I missed the first time. Then they’ve continued and I saw them. Two fighters, been circling about.
Unusual.

“ I get them all the time. Mostly from Ft. Campbell.”
The exercises out of Edwards usually are north, it’s unusual here.
Mystery solved, it’s opening day at Dodger Stadium.

Don't worry -- the mayor is on top of it.

Ft. Campbell Fighter jets?! I'd expect a lot of C-130s, C-17s, and maybe a C-5A or V-22 from time to time, but fighters not so much.

Probably just fly-by exercises. I’m about 200 km south of Cold Lake, in Edmonton, and still see the occasional military jet fly overhead.
You do have an air force base just south of Los Angeles.

They are very fast and way up in altitude. Contrails everywhere.
Mostly afternoons. I have no idea what they are.

Something unrelated to activities at Ft. Campbell.
I lived in Hopkinsville millions of years ago.

No need for concern. They send them up to chase UFOs until they lose them with Mach 7 zig zag maneuvers and then the fighters return to base.
Routine.

Thank you.
Did they bomb San Diego?

They did a flyover at Dodger stadium right before today’s season home opener. I watched it live on TV. They went right over downtown.

They always seem headed that way.
But there is a base in Tullahoma.
No clue. I’m not educated in aircraft.

The old Griffiss Airforce Base is down the street from me. Clinton closed it in 1995. I miss seeing all the different planes that flew overhead. We still get military transports that come in to refuel from time to time, but nothing like it was before. NORAD for the eastern division is still stationed here.
