NFL views improving sportsmanship as “a critical topic” for the 2025 season

NFL Executive Vice President of Football Operations Troy Vincent said that the league wants to emphasize everyone on the field conducting themselves the right way, and that there were too many examples of unsportsmanlike conduct — some penalized, some not — in 2024.

Gonna be kinda hard considering all the thuggery.....I remember when opposing players used to help each other up off the field......fast-forward to today’s game and the league had to implement an unsportsmanlike penalty for players sticking their crotch in another players face mask.

There’s more. Touchbacks might be spotted on the 35 yard line instead of the 30. It will allow the more mediocre QB’s out there to complete just 2-3 passes to get their team into a game-winning scoring position. The NFL wants every game to get decided on the final play, specifically a field goal. Throw in a yellow flag at the right time.

We’re being played.

Professional sports are to keep our focus off the political class as they rape this nation. Couldn’t care less about sports but do care for this nation to prosper for generations down the line. Wish more people would wake to this sham rather than watch overpaid grown men running around in knickers slapping each other on the ass.

I’d rather them move the kicker back five yards to encourage more returns. Too many touchbacks still.

Sportsmanship?? The NFL fails and refuses to punish bad player conduct.

I think this past year saw more game day ejections of players that could not control themselves, but it seems every play has a player out of control. I tried to watch a few games and was disgusted by the chimpouts happened on every play. A simple tackle turned into players wanting to fight each other.

I watched the NFL throughout the 1970’s forward, and rarely, maybe once, saw a game day ejection of a bad player. I watched but a few parts of a few games last year and saw at least three ejections and fights nearly every play.

If a ref has to separate players he needs to eject them. Bad players ought to cost teams dearly. Draft them, hire them, pay for their bad behaviors.

The NFL: Negros, Felons, and Liberals.

It is starting to get far too obvious!

I still remember being six or seven years old and seeing my grandmother watching Bigtime Wrestling. I knew it was fake even then.

But she would scream and cry and be outraged with how her wrestlers were mistreated by the officials.

I feel the same way about people who think the NFL is real sport.

Yet the masses keep watching, just like Caesar throwing bread at the circus. Even more disturbing is all the merch junk people buy. We talk about transgender being a mental illness, what about addiction to pro sports and supporting thuggery. ??

Good point. The National Anthem was legislated in by congress during the Great Depression. Took everyone’s mind off their situation before the games started. Kapernick’s act exposed things.

It’s sad that sportsmanship has to be legislated by the NFL bigwigs who are meeting in Florida this weekend. Perhaps Trump should say something about it and thereby disturb the excrement.

The owners approve bigly all the way up till ejection.

**If a ref has to separate players he needs to eject them.**
Pro Football needs a penalty box.

Let’s stop the stupid choreography in the end zone. Let’s loosen up on qb protection. Let’s get rid of the stupid new kickoff rules.

the only real deterrence would be suspension without pay for a half season worth of games ... do that 2-3 times and all thuggery would cease ... of course, that’s never going to happen ...

Yes I don’t even watch NFL anything. LSU plays I’m all over it in the College Conferences but noooo I won’t watch a bunch of overpaid dummies with ‘roid rage and the gamut of unsportsmanlike conduct going in the field.

Just a waste of my time. REAL FOOTBALL 🏈 needs a restructuring just like President Trump is clawing all the yuck and laying wide open all the corruption in the past regimes / administrations and cleaning it out!

Doesn’t matter, the game is an over-officiated bore now.

I watch sports because I get tired of watching overpaid grown men (and women) running around in business suits in our legislatures rubbing elbows, eating fine meals, drinking into oblivion while making rules for the rest of us to follow, while I pay for them to do so.

Most of the NFL is nothing but arrogant ghetto trash.
Celebrating like they won a championship when the team is down by a huge amount.
The game played today is a shadow of its greatness.
Add in refs fixing games and a penalty with almost every down, the game is unwatchable.
The commissioner is a moron as well. He’s destroyed a lot with his spineless actions.

I’ve seen plenty of times where the refs either miss or don’t call a foul on this, and the player underneath punches the other player when he gets up, and that secondary foul gets called, it not the first one. Should be off-setting penalties.
