Zelenskyy says US offered Ukraine new version of mineral agreement

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Tuesday said that the US offered Kyiv a new version of a mineral agreement.

On Sunday, delegations from Ukraine and the US held consultations in the Saudi capital Riyadh, which Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov described as "productive." The two sides held a second round of talks earlier today after a separate meeting between American and Russian delegations on Monday.

Speaking to journalists in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv, Zelenskyy said that his team informed him about the new agreement proposed by the US, which he described as a “large, comprehensive” deal from the American perspective.

Zelenskyy said he currently does not have the details concerning what the US believes a major minerals deal should look like, expressing that the document will be worked out between both parties.

He later remarked that the deal will be voted on by the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine’s parliament, once the two delegations complete their work with regards to the agreement.

The Ukrainian president added that the issue of his country’s nuclear power plants is not included in the agreement.

What are these minerals found in Ukraine that can’t be found in the lower 48 or in Alaska? Rare earths are not that hard to find.

Sill in Riyadh? Leading his nation in war seems something leaders do while staying in upscale places, enjoying fine buffets. Halal, of course.

Uranium and titanium come to mind. A graph at link below, including which minerals are in non-Russia occupied territory.

Zelenskyy doesn't have the cards. He'd better take whatever is offered him.

They say he's the Ukranian Washington. I guess that's the Washington who traveled to Paris, The Hague and Madrid while the troops at Valley Forge froze.

The same one who became famous for playing the harpsichord with his genitalia shortly before he became a member of Virginia's House of Burgesses.

Another problem. Half these rare earth mineral deposits are in Russian controlled areas. I doubt Putin’s going to give them away.

Horrible idea. Like handcuffing yourself to a lunatic. It attaches America permanently to the eastern front.

We are -trying- to root out the corruption in DC right now. The LAST thing we should do is permanently partner up DC with the most corrupt place imaginable run by nazis.
It’s like pairing up your alcoholic uncle who is on the wagon with the town drunk.

I'm betting that minerals in the occupied area are somehow included...USA gets 50%, Ukraine & Russia...each get 25%.

When Ukraine complains...USA says...."show me your cards".

To answer your question....
The folks in the lower 48 and Alaska, will not kick back Billions of dollars, to Congress and POTUS, if rare earth minerals are purchased by Taxpayers.

Or, will they?
We live in a corrupt Republic. The Democrats are the most corrupt but not by much.
We should not be paying Income Taxes. We the People of theUnited States have been robbed since the meeting on Jekyll Island!

“Look it up”

He talks too much

And he’s not very bright.

Though, I’m not sure how much I trust this article.

Other than the word “productive,” this is only use of quotation marks:

According to a White House statement, Trump told Zelenskyy that the US could be helpful in running the plants and that its ownership would be the “best protection.”

And while Zelensky is named, no hard sources are cited.
