Russia is getting hurt, and has been since day one. Putin’s ego is the issue. He either refuses to take a loss, or politically cant afford to take a loss. So he continues to feed the meat grinder. No mistake its costly for Ukraine as well, and in the end, it is an attrition battle that Ukraine cant win. But Putins losses are roughly 4 to 1 compared to Ukraine in men, and probably still in vehicles, armor, aircraft, and certainly naval assets.

Boomers will have to pass as a generation before America can move past the Cold War. Hippies are emotional animals and not thinkers.

I would be careful with all these casualty reports.

Based on “credible” reports, i.e. NATO and US DOD internal figure they think the true rate far less advantageous.

Most reports are inflated and speculative and based on our internal and probably more accurate reports, the casualty ratio was more like 2:1: https://www.newsweek.com/2023/05/05/read-leaked-secret-intelligence-documents-ukraine-vladimir-putin-1794656.html

BUT!!! That was including the beginning of the war where Russia was in disarray. It was when some of our gee-wiz high tech toys were more effective and Russia hadn’t countered them yet. And it was before a failed and costly Ukrainian counter offensive in 2023.

If I were betting money, I would guess that the true casualty ratio today is substantially under 2:1.
