Tell me what device you are using
and what browser you are using
and I will tell you how to turn auto-correct off.
-
“auto-correct” and “spellcheck” are two different things.
They can be turned “on” and “off” individually.
When “Spell-Check” sees a word it does not recognize,
it will typically underline the word and give you
the opportunity to correct or accept it.
When “Auto-Correct sees a word it does not recognize,
it just kind-of “guesses” at what it thinks you meant to type
and inserts that word in the place of what you typed.

Swipe down the bar at the top of the screen
and choose Settings>Select “Language & Keyboard>
Select “Current Keyboard Settings>
Set “Auto-capitalization and “Auto-correction”
to “On” or “Off”as desired.
