White House insiders have vented their anger at National Security Advisor Michael Waltz, with one reportedly calling him a 'f***ing idiot' after it emerged that he added a prominent journalist to a secret group chat revealing highly sensitive war plans.
'Everyone in the White House can agree on one thing: Mike Waltz is a f***ing idiot,' the source, identified as a 'person close to the White House', bluntly told Politico.

Does firing someone for first mistake which did not result in any important consequences destroy cohesiveness in the team? Everyone makes a mistake from time to time. Working like the hatchet can fall for any mistake does not get the best out of people.
There’s another thread on this topic where someone excoriates Vance for even bringing up the inconsistency in the position — alluding that he (Vance) is somehow a threat to Trump by not being 100% loyal and even bringing up the issue.

Just reported on FOX, Waltz claims he has never met or spoken to Goldberg. It appears a staffer added Goldberg as a contact which allowed access to the Signal meeting.

That’s been my experience as well. If Waltz set it up and invited and approved the Atlantic before inviting the others, the others would not expect him to be there, however.
