White House insiders have vented their anger at National Security Advisor Michael Waltz, with one reportedly calling him a 'f***ing idiot' after it emerged that he added a prominent journalist to a secret group chat revealing highly sensitive war plans.
'Everyone in the White House can agree on one thing: Mike Waltz is a f***ing idiot,' the source, identified as a 'person close to the White House', bluntly told Politico.

“ If he did it..he is an idiot and should be removed.”

Well, whoever did it showed INCREDIBLY bad judgement… or incompetence. I have difficulty believing it was Waltz. A staffer? Whoever did it should be fired.
It doesn’t matter. Someone is responsible for what happened. That person needs to be fired
They weren’t war plans.
Interesting. If this is true he must be thrown out of the WH head first. Then prosecuted.
I don’t care what it was .poor judgement to give this reporter access
This whole affair sounds like a “show biz” rope-a-dope the Trump team is running.
And the ironic thing is, China, Germany, South Korea, and Japan benefit the most from Suez Canal Trade the Houthis are disrupting:
Sky News
Pathetic European free-loading’: What was said in Trump officials’ group chat
“Team, I am out for the day doing an economic event in Michigan. But I think we are making a mistake.
“3 percent of US trade runs through the suez. 40 percent of European trade does. There is a real risk that the public doesn’t understand this or why it’s necessary. The strongest reason to do this is, as POTUS said, to send a message.
“I am not sure the president is aware how inconsistent this is with his message on Europe right now. There’s a further risk that we see a moderate to severe spike in oil prices. I am willing to support the consensus of the team and keep these concerns to myself. But there is a strong argument for delaying this a month, doing the messaging work on why this matters, seeing where the economy is, etc.”
At 8.27am, a message arrived from the Pete Hegseth reading: “VP: I understand your concerns - and fully support you raising w/ POTUS. Important considerations, most of which are tough to know how they play out (economy, Ukraine peace, Gaza, etc). I think messaging is going to be tough no matter what - nobody knows who the Houthis are - which is why we would need to stay focused on: 1) Biden failed & 2) Iran funded.”
Don’t believe it. Trump won’t fire someone for a mistake. The thing to find out is who loaded his contacts.
“the source, identified as a ‘person close to the White House’”
Typical fake news sources.
Refuse to play, folks."
That would be true except unforced errors like this can further detail Trump's agenda.
I happen to agree with Vance here. That said, this is normal for a discussion on what should we do or should we even do it.
I see nothing wrong in that.
We don’t know what happened.
I do know that whatever happened, Trump will see that the situation, if there is indeed a situation, is handled appropriately.
As for the DM, something everyone should keep in mind, a quote from William Blake.
“A truth that’s told with bad intent, Beats all the lies you can invent.”
BTTT
The Zeepers better hope that Waltz rides this one out as he’s about the only one working for Trump that still actively claims the Ukraine War started because Putin woke up on the wrong side of the bed and decide to invade a country, for kicks, 3 years ago (ignoring the 2104 coup, NATO expansion, and many, many other factors).
Rubio almost certainly thinks the same, but his ambitions are higher than just Secretary of State, so he’s chosen to suck it up and act MAGA, at least in public, at least for now.
See my reply #32.
Sigh.
Whatever happens to Waltz, he was successful in having an acquaintance released from the Taliban after almost three years in captivity. That was on PDJT’s Inauguration Day. Always grateful for that.
Good grief, you sound like a teen age girl. There’s no problem with a disagreement and why are you emoting over something a “reporter” said?
Oh I agree...he needs to be fired. But we can’t concede to the lie that it was war plans.
Well, that members of the inner circle have varying opinions is a good thing. Listening to varying opinions is how policy SHOULD be made.
Varying opinions aren’t “policy differences”, because only one member of the inner circle makes policy.
Why is our attention being kept on this peculiar, quite possibly invented story? Look here, don’t look over there.
