Its only legal if the “signer” knows the contents of the document and is present and consents to the autopen being used at the autopen signing

As far as we know every one of the hacks was in on the auto pen scheme. Biden knew nothing about it. He withdrew from the race via a Twitter post! Not even an address to the nation. Dr. Jill was reading briefs on AF1 and leading cabinet meetings. We haven’t a clue who was running the country.

Either that, or the President is too small.

Trump didn’t know he was flexing over Biden merely by actually personally signing formal documents with a pen.

I’ll stand by my statement. “As far as we know” doesn’t go far in court.

Then, Dr Jill and FJB should be charged with breach of the public trust.

I think the autopen is a distraction.

The real issue is the ability to pardon someone for crimes they haven’t even been charged with yet. That runs contrary to every kind of interpretation of “no man is above the law” and the only solution will be if Pam Bondi decides the evidence warrants charging someone like Hunter or Fauci or Schiff anyhow and fighting the pardon in court. I’m not a lawyer so I don’t know if that is a fight that can be won or not, but as a citizen, it sure as hell ain’t right.

Autopens have security. They know who used it. There were two signatures. You have to prove that Biden did not authorize its use. I think they are trying to figure out who was really president. The use of a autopen is legal. But only if its authorized dby the actual president, nobody else.

Investigations are in progress.

Trump has them in a double bind.

Call them before congress. They can’t plead the Fifth if the pardons are legitimate.

They can only plead the Fifth if the pardons are fake.

Don’t care about the pardons. Small potatoes. I’m more concerned about all the laws he might have signed with the autopen. The Constitution doesn’t say a president has to “sign” a pardon. I’m pf the opinion that it’s just like security classification. He can just “say it.” But the Constitution says he “shall sign” laws.

Yes, it would be almost impossible to prove Biden didn’t OK these pardons, etc. But it does show what a SHAM the entire administration was.

It was always vaporwarenews. Autopens have been used for a long time, Clinton was first I think. Trump probably used the autopen first term and will probably use it again. E-signatures are perfectly legal, so it doesn’t matter.

That was a brilliant investigation you conducted.

The FBI is looking for coverup artists like you.

Of course E signatures are legal.

Of course the autopen is legitimate in general.

That is totally irrelevant to this case.

The allegation is fraud and identity theft.

I don’t even think there’s an allegation. It’s just a bunch of silly noise.

As a matter of essential procedure, use of the autopen is tightly controlled, with a signed log book kept of all authorized uses. My guess is that the Trump administration is investigating the facts closely before taking action.

That remains to be seen—not known yet.

It is unwise to jump to conclusions without evidence.

“As a matter of essential procedure, use of the autopen is tightly controlled, with a signed log book kept of all authorized uses”

How do you know this?

Is there any documentation at all supporting this claim?

A president can’t invalidate another president’s pardons by saying so - I have no idea what the process would even be for doing this. In any event, I don’t think this is a road Trump should go down - absolute pardon power will be needed for his family, Cabinet and friends, as the Democrats will absolutely try to go after all of them the next time they hold the WH and DoJ. The Democrats started lawfare, they aren’t going to stop.

It is known. A year from now this “issue” will be on People’s “Where are they now” column.
