All signs are pointing to a box office catastrophe for Disney’s new Snow White, and Hollywood is in full-blown panic mode. It’s not just Disney feeling the heat—Tinseltown, already drowning in a sea of big-budget flops, can’t afford another messy release. But that’s exactly what’s coming, as early signs suggest this woke remake is heading straight for a long, grim, and very unprofitable sleep.
Of course, casting a Hispanic liberal to play a white, German fairytale icon was one of Disney’s dumbest moves—right up there with ditching the dwarfs for diversity hire hobos, only to backtrack and digitally add the little guys later. What a mess.

I just watched some of the trailers. The movie looks adorable to me and the actress fits the part just fine. I don’t know what the heck all this hand rubbing is, but I think the movie will be fine. And the dwarfs look good too. The animals are adorable. The queen looks fine. I don’t know what y’all are talking about.
They’d never hire a black as the evil queen. The evil characters are always played by whites.

But their star announced, triumphantly, more than two years ago, “it’s not 1937 anymore!”
The premises are:
1) Teach the lazy men who worked all day to clean their own damn house and make their own damn beds
2) She’s called Snow White because she was born in a snowstorm
3) Never mind the damn prince, she don’t need no man
What could go wrong?
It will probably fill theaters for the first week as today’s young teen crowd goes to see what the hubbbub is all about, then crash a week later.
I watched it recently and I came to the conclusion that people upset about it are total idiots.
Uncle Remus seemed and an admirable character, someone who didn’t care about what race someone was. He came across as a human being.
Crapping on the original 1937 Snow White was a catastrophically stupid thing to do, sneering and grimacing like she did. It’s an absolute work of art, not just another movie, dummy. It’s a terrible thing what they are collectively doing to the legacy of a man I consider one of America’s true treasures, Mr. Walt Disney.

Exactly! How come when I first saw the movie when I was a toddler, I wished that I could go “hang” with Uncle Remus. The commie libs are the racists when it comes to Song of the South.
Like I said, all they had to do was shoot the same story as before with minor changes, cast it correctly, and then roll in the money.
But no, they went out of their way to piss off the fans and this is the result. I can’t believe stockholders have not sued Disney for fiscal malpractice over their race to lose billions of dollars...
SIMPLE :
AVOID HOLYWOOD AND THE ANTI AMERICAN HOLYWIERDS.
DONT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY.
With all of Disney’s racist flips, let them crash and burn. This particular movie has had controversy since day one. You’d have thought they’d read the writing on the wall two years ago and shut down production. Not that they’ll learn a lesson from this.
We’ll see in a few days whether the frenetic energy of the well-funded Disney publicity machine can cover up the holes in the fabric, but advance sales aren’t looking good. Plenty of corporate toadies acting as critics have gushed over the thing by now but there’s going to be a little sales resistance that most movies don’t experience, and Rachel Zegler is largely (but not solely) to blame. Somebody a little more mature - her parents, her agent, her director, her producer - needed to let her know that she isn’t an artiste, she isn’t a romantic revolutionary, she’s put in the work and now she’s a salesman, and her repeated public announcements of political correctitude are roughly as seductive as a vacuum cleaner salesman throwing dirt on your carpet and then departing. You’re not going to sell a lot of vacuum cleaners that way.
Bingo. No one goes to the theater anymore. Surprised they survived the lockdowns.
The last time we were in one was 2011 to see the last Harry Potter movie. The next to the last time was 2010 to see the previous HP movie. The time before that was, of course, the prior HP and they were headed south. Hubby would get free tickets but couldn’t be bothered to go.
Maybe you didn’t hear what ‘taco belle’ said about Snow White and the Princes’ characters. And don’t forget “skin as white as snow” not after some blizzard. Snow Brown is a turd.
