A reporter for NPR has been driven into hiding after being named by MAGA supporters as the person who hit President Donald Trump in the face with a microphone.
Danielle Kurtzleben, a political correspondent for the government-funded outlet, was named as the journalist who allegedly hit Trump in the face with a boom mic during a press conference last week, according to independent journalist Laura Loomer.
Loomer, a staunch Trump fan, identified Kurtzleben on Sunday in a post on X, suggesting she may have hit the president on purpose.
'I have identified the reporter who hit President @realDonaldTrump in the face with a boom mic this week while he was speaking to the press on the tarmac,' Loomer wrote.
'Her name is Danielle Kurtzleben @titonka. She is the newly appointed White House reporter for @NPR and a massive Trump hater and LGBTQ advocate who once suggested during the 2024 campaign that Trump only spoke in Howell, Michigan because it has ties to the KKK.
'Did she hit President Trump in the face on purpose?,' Loomer speculated.
Loomer's tweet has been viewed nearly 7 million times - and triggered hundreds of other Trump fans to also speculate about Kurtzleben's alleged involvement.
After being named, Kurtzleben made her X account private and has not spoken about the situation.

Thank God she’s in hiding...she’s HIDEOUS!
That cover on the mike is a fuzzy soft tube, it would not have left a mark, unless the mike was forceably shoved at anyones face. She was not pushed, She jammed it in Trumps face since it left a visable mark.
My late husband was a musician. Used them and foam ones.
Pitch her out of the press pool, and ban the mikes.

You appeared to be triggered by the word ‘hit’.
But your mileage will vary on that.
No hate or anger here.
It is good to see you’re still around.
What Up, Vermont Light (In The Loafers), How Ya Doin’ Today?
People getting worked up over this need to turn the dial down a couple of notches.
The ONLY people NOT getting “worked up” over this deliberate move are leftists and leftist plants.
EVERYONE who cares about the President and his safety have VALID safety concerns, over this.
The lefties are the ones attempting to blow it off.
That must hurt like hell. Does the "dot" come up, too?
She needs that smirk wiped off of her face.
Excellent comment. Right on the money.
Has anyone asked President Trump or Karoline Leavitt about this incident since it happened? I’d like to know if the reporter has been barred from future access.
On a related note, the article from the leftwing Guardian was pathetic. It read more like a lawyer defending his client (the reporter) than journalism. Here’s a particularly egregious excerpt.
“While many were upset about what happened to Trump, others showed a bit of sympathy for the reporter.
‘Obviously this was an accident and I genuinely feel terrible for the person that made that mistake. They must be very embarrassed.’”
They present this quote “Obviously this was an accident....” without once identifying the person who supposedly made it. They seem to be trying to imply that it was made by Trump, but if it was they would have come right out an explicitly said so. So instead they throw an unattributed quote out there and hope that the reader will assume it was made by Trump.
Easy to see why she is a queer.

If Loomer is wrong, she is risking a defamation suit.
If Loomer is not sued, it would indicate that her accusations are correct.

First of all, I have never seen boom operators allowed to operate that close to any sitting President. Secondly, she obviously was untrained and unprepared to appropriately operate a boom mic and probably has little experience and certainly does not have the arm strength needed to control the device. Thirdly, reporters are not audio technicians or videographers and should not be operating equipment like booms. I am surprised the Union allowed a reporter to handle this equipment and displace an actual trained union audio technician. I have been on location shooting video at the Whitehouse and Executive Office Building and have never seen a reporter wielding a microphone boom. Must be special rules for NPR.
She was/is an incompetent audio technician who apparently doubles as a biased NPR party line reporter. I find it hard to believe NPR is not union and that the union allows a reporter to work “out of class” as an audio technician. Notice that no other audio tech on site was standing that far away while attempting to use a mic boom one handed. Bad form. Probably does not have the requisite upper arm or body strength to do the job properly. Perhaps a DEI hire.
