Donald Trump is set to ban people from 43 countries from travelling to the US - with visas from Russia being 'sharply restricted'.
The dramatic memo also sees key allies of Moscow placed under heavy sanctions as Belarusian travellers could see their dreams of travelling Stateside slashed, the New York Times reports.
The explosive immigration proposals come as the US president is wrestling with Putin and Zelensky over a ceasefire in Ukraine - warning last night that World War III could 'very easily' erupt if peace talks failed.
Alongside the warring state a vast swathe of nations from across the globe have been told their governments have 60 days to address deficiencies or they will remain on the list.
A memo shows countries divided into three separate groups - including full visa suspensions and partial suspensions.
Many are from the Middle East and Africa, with Afghanistan, Cuba, Iran and North Korea among the 11 who face the most drastic measures.

These are all places’ people would rather leave and immigrate to the US. We’re not getting scientists or trained worker types. Just average blokes and probably criminals. That’s because being poor in America is better than trying to make it where they’re from. It’s because we have generous handouts at every level of government, and anyone can get any level of medical treatment in a hospital for free. As a citizen if I check into the hospital, I have to tell them everything and have insurance. But if I’m an illegal alien they can’t even ask my name. So, that’s why the ban.

I wondered what it meant - couldn’t find anything among all the photos in the link that addressed the “deficiencies.” You must have found it - thanks.
I suppose some are immigrants but the article said “dream of traveling to” the US...Couldn’t help but wonder how people from most of those countries could afford to just TRAVEL for pleasure to the US.
I don’t know that many people who travel to foreign countries but have run into people who moved to the US from Iran in the late ‘70’s who traveled all over the world before leaving Iran permanently. Compliment ladies on their jewelry (especially their jewelry), their shoes, their dresses, their whatever and they’d always tell you in what country they bought the mentioned items. They made lists of what their friends requested before they traveled and bought for them also. I always thought hmmmm, must be nice!
For the most part they are hard core Trump haters like Vindman.
