..SUMMARY... A tornado outbreak is likely on Saturday across the central Gulf Coast States and Deep South into the Tennessee Valley. Numerous significant tornadoes, some of which should be long-track and potentially violent, are expected on Saturday afternoon and evening. The most dangerous tornado threat should begin across eastern Louisiana and Mississippi during the late morning to afternoon, spread across Alabama late day into the evening, and reach western parts of the Florida Panhandle and Georgia Saturday night.
...Central Gulf Coast/Deep South/TN Valley... After collaboration with WFOs BMX/JAN/MOB, an upgrade to a level 5-HIGH risk appears warranted for the most likely corridor of potentially violent tornadoes, peaking tomorrow afternoon and evening. A broader level 4-MDT risk has been expanded somewhat eastward for the nocturnal significant tornado threat.

Windy as heck here in SW Wisconsin, today. Storm is heading towards us for the evening hours. :(
We’re battening down the hatches!

The link above shows wind, but you can change it to other weather-related activity using the menu to the right once you’re at the Windy.com page.
That’s the same storm that got us a severe storm warning in Texas and we were pelted by sunshine and shivering in the low 80s (ac was blasting). National Weather Service missed it big time in Texas. We’ll see if they got it right further east. Right now there are a couple of lines of storms in eastern Arkansas, but nothing in the southeast.
Wind advisory here in Indiana as well.
Everything is pointing to a really bad day on Saturday over S. Miss and here in (virtually all of) Alabama.
I’m south of Columbus IN. I’m keeping my eyes on this.
I left Wisconsin for Alabama. Gonna be worse in Birmingham. Celebrating MIL 95th tomorrow.
Congrats to MIL! Quite a milestone. :)
James Spann is worried...and that make me worry. Normally bad weather doesn’t bother me. I find it a bit exciting and would love to do some storm chasing (if only I were younger...lol). Spann has me a little spooked on this one. I have HUGE pine trees in front, back, and one side of house. Hope they keep standing!
A state of emergency has been declared for every county in Alabama.

If James Spann is concerned, it’s super alert time. We are on the coast and the rest of the family are in Bham and Montgomery. Looks to be a long day tomorrow.
I’m 15 miles north of Montgomery.
Ugh, I am almost center (W-E) in the swath of Level 4, as it is. A bit south of center. Not looking forward to this evening. High wind risk (70 mph or higher) is so high as to be near certain. NWS says some storms themselves will be moving at ~70 mph.
Clarification: The Level 4 for us is tonight. Saturday looks really rough, to the south. Prayers up!
How were things overnight? All the panic in my neck of the woods (SW WI) resulted in...nothing. It was very odd for us to have a 75 degree day on March 14th, though.
We do have a Wind Advisory until sunset Saturday night.
