I like winning—so I want all of the above.

Both ignore the courts and have Congress abolish lower courts that are out of line.

Winning is about walking and chewing gum at the same time.

Never let your opponent tell you what the rules are.

But they are not going to do that so we can't live much longer in judicial tyranny. Sorry, but status quo lovers like you....

What is your major malfunction, anyway?

I'm pretty damn certain I've been complaining about nationwide injunctions issued by district court judges for a lot longer than you. But you, and your kind of inbred ilk, have been perfectly fine with them as long as you approve of the subject and target. I don't.

The Supreme Court has been asked multiple times in various cases to shoot down nationwide injunctions by district court judges on that basis, and has refused to do it. You get a dissent by Thomas, but that's it.

If you want to actually change it rather than just go through the performative circus of "ignoring" them, you need to get Congress to act. And Trump hasn't even tried to do that.

Judicial overreach is a SCOTUS problem. They can overrule them or not. They need to act quickly until our incompetent Congress deigns to act, which will be never.

Trump can ignore the courts if he wishes. But he can't force every federal employee scared of going to jail, or every business worried about massive court-imposed fines, to do the same. And they won't. It will end up a sh*tshow that will harm his agenda.

That's reality. I know reality pains some people when it stands in the way of their pet ideas, but reality will continue to exist whether they like it or not.

President Trump is moving ahead at high speed.

You are either with him or against him.

Every one of us has that choice.

“You are either with him or against him.”

Actually, a sane person can agree or disagree with someone else to vary degrees. 80/20, 50/50, 20/80, etc.

Trump is not Jesus Christ. He’s amortal man. One can disagree with him at times and not be cast into outer darkness.

These are revolutionary times.

During such times the middle of the road becomes road kill.

Judicial overreach is a SCOTUS problem.

Congress did a crappy job when it established the lower courts. It should have limited their jurisdiction more than it did.

Here's what you guys aren't getting. This issue -- whether district courts have the power to issue nationwide injunctions - has come up before. It isn't new to Trump, and both Obama and Biden sought to have that entire power wiped out by the Supreme Court. They lost. So will Trump, so we'll do this massive dance and end up in the exact same place, and I don't want to end up in the same place. I want it to actually change.

Now, the on-the-ground reality is that between stays and emergency appeals, those district court injunctions really do get reviewed and approved by higher courts -- implicitly or explicitly -- before becoming effective. There's always the immediate appeal to the Circuit Court, which sometimes stays the injunction, and sometimes doesn't. If the Circuit Court doesn't stay the injunction, then there's the emergency appeal to the Supreme Court, which makes the same choice.

So the bottom line is that these injunctions really do get looked at by the Supreme Court before actually taking effect. But it is a massive, disorganized sh*tshow done on an ad hoc basis rather than with clear rules and a clear process, so everyone on both sides gets p*ssed off.

Congress could fix this easily, and Trump should at least try that first. I really can't fathom why Republicans in Congress won't do that right now. Draft a bill to limit those injunctions, and try to get it passed. If the Democrats filibuster it, then go the next step of forcing the issue to the Supreme Court...where he'll probably lose. Which is why I want to try to push it through Congress first.

Getting angry and beating your head against the wall for an issue you'll almost certainly lose in the Supreme Court seems a waste of time to me. Try something that might actually fix the problem instead.

Waiting for Congress to gain wisdom is like Waiting for Godot.

It could happen but a plan B is absolutely essential.

We just went through 4 years of nazism where our rogue government called law abiding citizens “domestic terrorists”, imprisoning peaceful elderly protestors who would have likely spent their last days in prison had not pres Trump pard9ned them, who, imprisoned peaceful protestors by the hundreds while ignoring violent blm and antifa protestors who burned down cities and destroyed people’s lives forever, and efen resorted to murder. We just surv8ved 4 years of nazism as the left tried to Imprison their opposition, and pulled out all the stops to try to do so. We also had to endure our government censoring the people and forcing social media to do so as well.

I’d say that ehat we just went through is a pretty good example of nazism

And one would think that if it were true, it would be all that the left would be screaming about today. Not sure what to think as gelled usually, isn’t one to post unsubstantiated stuff, or at least she wasn’t, haven’t read her stuff in a long time, maybe she has changed, i dunno. But I’m leaning g towards not believing it because the left aren’t screaming “Trump is a nazi for... fill in the blank” today if it were true.

Did you believe Biden had the right to do anything he wanted by executive order and ignore the courts? That an executive order could overturn laws passed by Congress, signed by the President and supported by the courts?

Do you want to live, in the foreseeable future, under a Democrat President with unrestricted power?

Are you nuts?

Are you nuts?

It is one-sided. Biden did almost anything he wanted and few Reagan,Bush and Trump appointed judges did a damn thing. So we have to play the rigged judicial game. To think otherwise is nuts.

The Democrats are going to crush us if they get the chance.

Nothing you or I or the administration do or don’t do is going to make the slightest bit of difference.
