Liberal California Gov. Gavin Newsom split with Democrats and acknowledged that “it’s deeply unfair” to allow transgender athletes to compete against biological women while chatting with a MAGA darling on his podcast debut episode
Newsom, 57, who is speculated to be eyeing a 2028 president run, stopped short of calling for an outright ban on transgender competition in girls’ sports, however, and lamented how conservatives “weaponize” that issue.
“I think it’s an issue of fairness; I completely agree with you on that. It is an issue of fairness — it’s deeply unfair,” the governor admitted to campus culture warrior Charlie Kirk on his “This is Gavin Newsom” podcast.
“I am not wrestling with the fairness issue,” he said. “I totally agree with you.”
Newsom, who is term-limited and can’t run for governor in 2026, has been a staunch advocate for LGBTQ+ rights. Last year, he signed a law banning schools from notifying parents about their children’s gender identity. The governor has also slammed red states for their policies on transgenderism.
“Trans kids and their families should be celebrated – not targeted by the state! They are heroes,” he said in 2022 in response to a Texas directive to report parents whose children transition. “California’s door is always open to you.”
“This law helps keep children safe while protecting the critical role of parents,” a spokesperson for Newsom said at the time.
In 2020, he signed a law requiring incarcerated transgender and nonbinary prisoners to be housed based on their gender identity.
Two decades ago, when serving as mayor of San Francisco, Newsom directed the city to dole out marriage licenses to same-sex couples in defiance of state law. Eventually, the California Supreme Court shut him down.

Hannity called Jocelyn Nungary a “brave little girl” when interviewing her mother the other night. For Pete’s sake, she climbed out her bedroom window to go to the store after her mother said she couldn’t go. Then she followed 3 illegal migrants under a bridge where she was raped for 2 hrs and then killed. It’s a tragic and infuriating story, but Jocelyn wasn’t brave or a hero. She was just a little girl who was victimized by evil scum.

Some of these dems are going to grow a pair and stand up for MAGA principles. They will find they are rewarded when they do so, but I hope it doesn’t become a habit!

I could see trans athletes competing against one another. Moreover, if girls choose to compete with them, fine. But there ought to be opportunity for girls only sports, too.
As for public restrooms, I have always considered them “proceed at your own risk” if more than one party may be in the room.
Anyone with principles and common sense can tell you that people with that sort of dysphoria need medical attention. Attention from real, traditional doctors, not woke moron doctors who encourage their delusions.

I hope Republicans aren’t stupid enough to fall for this obvious ploy by Newscum to seem moderate in hopes of getting the democrat nomination for president in 2028.
