Tesla’s Empire CRUMBLES: Sales Crash & Owners Run For Their Lives - (in Europe too)
Rev Nation
Tesla is in serious trouble. Sales are plummeting across the globe, with shocking declines in key markets like Europe, Canada, and the United States.
Once the undisputed leader in the EV market, Tesla is now facing stiff competition, political backlash, and declining consumer confidence.
Here’s the latest sales data:
🔹 United States: Tesla sales rose 14% in February 2025 to around 42,000 vehicles, but market share dropped to 44% in 2024, signaling major challenges.
🔹 Global Sales: Tesla delivered 495,600 vehicles in Q4 2024, a 7.1% drop compared to the previous year. Production for 2024 declined by 4% overall.
🔹 Europe: Tesla sales collapsed by 45% in January 2025, despite the EV market growing 18%.
• Germany: 76% drop in sales in February 2025.
• France & Scandinavia: Sales fell by 45% and more in early 2025.
🔹 Canada: Tesla sales plunged 70% in January 2025, as government EV subsidies ended.
But it’s not just about numbers—Tesla is facing increasing political and social backlash.
Reports are emerging of owners being harassed, vehicles vandalized, and even Supercharger stations set on fire. Some Tesla owners are even removing the logo to avoid being targeted.
Is Elon Musk’s political presence hurting Tesla? Is the company losing its dominance in the electric vehicle market? And what does this mean for Tesla’s future?

EV’s were a bad idea from day one. Only Government support made what success they had possible.
Even better if you can charge them at work.
Your dated shuck n jive, has made you an embarrassment to the Russian rednecks that you ride with. You are done! when Bad Vlad flushes you out.
Supercharger vandalism is actually cable theft. You can pull up with a battery powered reciprocating saw and have the cable in your car in less than a minute. Two people with reciprocating saws can get ten charger cables in 5 minutes. Law enforcement takes way too long. Take the cables, cut off the plug and burn off the insulation and you have a whole bunch of copper for recycling.
It looks just like vandalism. It happens with other brands of chargers. I pulled in to an electrify location and 4 of the 5 chargers were missing cables. The screen has a message about cable theft being a problem. As far as the fire, it happened once and it was probably caused when someone tried to steal the cable. It doesn’t mean that it was vandalism.
Charging is definitely a weak point in the whole system. We may have reached market saturation. In the case of Canada, sales fell off when EV credits expired. The advantages of ev’s over gas cars include tax subsidies which when taken away make all the other advantages much weaker. Tax credits were a BIG part of my decision to buy an EV.
Poor Dennis, all of your dreams are turning to crap. Before long you’ll be cheering on the EU against America. Neocons are bloodthirsty traitors or despicable foreigners.
Check
Yes, a friend has a RAV4 Plug in hybrid. One of the reasons she bought it was her less than 10 miles commute and the fact that her employer (in MA)lets her charge it for FREE at work. She fills up the tank about four times a year.
Elon must have know the battery technology and support infrastructure jut were not “there”. Possibly he thought he could jump start those improvements?
BS
YUP!
If EV Buyers “cared about the environment,” they would NOT buy and EV.
The environmental life-cycle cost of an EV is far and away greater than the environmental life-cycle cost of an ICE vehicle.
HST, I am now a believer in Hybrids. DW and I rented a 2025 Toyota Camry Hybrid last year in Maine, and realized 55 MPG over the week that we drove it 650 miles! great car, GREAT gas mileage!
The ultimate is plug in hybrids. They can function as EVs when you drive them only 40 miles per day. This 40 miles varies depending on the automobile. A typical plug in hybrid has a battery 20-25% the size and weight of an EV.
I keep reading here that their plug in goes to the gas station 3-4 times a year. So your plug in hybrid basically runs on much cheaper electricity
Global elites favor EVs because they tether the masses and give the means to easily deprive them.
Gasoline is freedom.
