The unexpected attack left the 40-year-old victim in agony as she was rushed from Boston Logan International Airport's Terminal E to the hospital on Sunday around 7:30 pm, Boston EMS told WCVB.
Police have not publicly named the woman and there have been no updates on her condition. It is also unclear how the arachnid ended up in the airport and what species it was.
A spokesperson from the Massachusetts Port Authority told DailyMail.com the agency does not have any further details about the shocking incident.

Scorpions are common in some parts of Massachusetts, including Charlestown which is about two miles outside of Boston, according to F&W Pest Control.
The creatures generally live in desert areas, but can also be found in the forests of Brazil, British Columbia and the Himalayas, National Geographic reported.
There are more than 2,000 species of scorpions, but only an estimated 30 to 40 of them are poisonous enough to kill someone.

I had one latch onto my hair as I leaned over sink toward medicine cabinet. Thankfully not stung.
Not so lucky another time, I moved my leg while sleeping and got stung by a baby scorpion. Thankfully only like a bad bee sting, ice helped, but could not sleep the rest of night wondering how it got under covers in my bed.

Scorpions are very common in Texas.
When I was in the scouts, our scoutmasters (not gay then) would warn us to shake out our boots in the morning to make sure one of those critters didn’t get into a boot overnight.
That would have been a nasty surprise.
Same here. That sounds absurd.
I wonder how the scorpions would do against the Asian Murder Hornets.
Must be code word for democrat.
