One of our local City Council members refuses to Pledge. She took the oath of office, solemnly swearing to defend our nation and swearing that she was taking the oath without purpose of evasion, yet she refuses to Pledge Allegiance.

At a micro level, it sounds like one of those "lines in the sand" that history has often dramatically shown in not just "childish, rude and incredibly selfish".

I see your point, and tend to agree. It ought not be tolerated. She is violating her oath of office, and for our nation to stand, that cannot be allowed. At any level.
