Friday, February 28, marks the fourth annual HIV Is Not a Crime Awareness Day (#HINACDay; #HIVIsNotACrime), a global effort to inform the public about unjust laws that target people living with HIV and the efforts to modernize those laws.
The HIV criminalization awareness day is spearheaded by Sero Project, a nonprofit that fights HIV crime laws, along with the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation and other global HIV advocacy groups. Visit the HINACDay Facebook page for the latest updates, and search the hashtags online to find promotional and educational posts and info about events near you as well as those held virtually.

I visited the YouTube version of this video and was pleasantly surprised to see quite a lot of pushback in the comments. I'm sure the comments will be closed off in short order.
HIV ain’t a crime. It’s the natural consequences of bone-head (no pun intended) decisions.
we could have eradicated this decades ago by quarantining the gays, but they wouldn’t do it.
I thought the act by which you contracted HIV was the crime.
Globohomo’s favorite poster-child - HIV.
It is, and should be, but that wouldn't sound so incendiary.
They continue to claim HIV isn't a "gay disease" while constantly proving otherwise.
EVERY HIV website and resource is a "gay" resource, by default.
America was a better place when sodomy was illegal.
I'll celebrate by not catching AIDS, and not even being in the running.
Yep.
it is a crime to knowingly spread it
Oh bosh!
The “Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation” should be the “Jodie Dallas AIDS Foundation”!

You don't get it. The goal is to decriminalize even THAT.
But do we have to wear zee ribbon?
oh yeah, that a pedophilia, infanticide and all the other cides the left can think of.
HIV is a virus, not a crime. Giving it to someone can be. Legalizing the act of giving it to someone when you know you’re positive and they don’t was a major objective of the corruption of the legal system by politics that occurred with regularity under the Democrats.
If they had their way... yes.
Back in the damn closet!
Lots more people die of cancer - and aren’t on ‘disability’ for 40 years.
If someone you don't know or just met pointed a gun at you that THEY know - or knew the last time they checked two months ago - to be unloaded, and don't let you know it until afterwards, your justified alarm can be enough to establish a crime: assault. You have reasonable cause to fear death or serious bodily injury.
Do the "finger robbers" get off from the crime of robbery because they didn't have the ability to hurt anyone?
