This is for certain: I can kill more of them than they can of me, simply because there ARE more of them than there are me. 

There’s a comment at the site that is very appropriate to your remark...

“Something I read somewhere, a version of the paradox of tolerance:

As a society becomes more tolerant of those who do wrong, it has to become less tolerant of those who do right.”

It’s a great quote filled with a lot of truth.

The place where that attack occurred is most certainly not a “ghetto.” It is right in front of where the Fox Carthay Circle Theater once stood. This was a movie palace where big Hollywood movies premiered. I watched “Around the World in 80 Days” there in 1958 and also “Lawrence of Arabia” in 1963 and “Beckett” in 1864. My father hitch hiked there from Loma Linda to see “Fantasia” in 1940.

Not far from Cedar-Sinai hospital, too. It was a decent part of town when I lived there. (I left in 2020.)

Does it say anything about being clever, instead of headstrong, in picking your fights?

I lived not far from there, on Kings Road, just off the Sunset Strip, in 1975-1976--I was one of those Sunset People that Donna Summer sang about. It was fun living there, but I got tired of the horrible traffic.

I was thinking the same thing. Although, I’d probably go to jail for it...
